Business news: Stock market starts weak, Sensex slips 116 points
The stock market has had a weak start on the second trading day of the week. The Sensex slipped by 150 points in early trade on Tuesday. However, some buying was seen in the market at lower levels. At 09:42 am, the Sensex was seen trading at the level of 72,683.36 with a fall of 24.80 (0.03%) points. On the other hand, Nifty was seen slipping 10.41 (0.05%) points and trading at the level of 22,111.85.
Earlier, Indian benchmark indices opened with a decline on Tuesday following negative trends from Asian markets. During this period, selling was seen in shares of index heavyweight Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank and Infosys.
