CG News : Mahtari Vandan Yojana: More than 51 lakh 16 thousand women filled applications

Raipur. There is huge enthusiasm among the women of the state regarding the Mahtari Vandan Yojana launched by the Chhattisgarh government to promote women empowerment. A large crowd of women is gathering in the camps organized at Panchayat and Anganwadi level in all the districts to fill the applications under the scheme. So far, applications from more than 51 lakh 16 thousand women have been received in the state to avail the benefits of the scheme. On February 12, 4 lakh 91 thousand 914 women have applied in the state.

It is noteworthy that under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Rs 12,000 will be given to women every year by the state government. With Rs 1,000 per month, women will be able to fulfill their minor needs and also help in the family needs.
