MP NEWS: Women Leadership Exchange Program will start in the state

Bhopal. Consul General of the United States of America Mike Hankey, Political Officer of the US Consulate General Mumbai Rayon Mullen and Political Advisor Ms. Priyanka Visaria-Nayak paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav at the Samatva Bhawan of the Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed Hankey and the team members. The team members also congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Industries Raghavendra Kumar Singh was also present on this occasion.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav laid emphasis on more knowledge exchange in future between Madhya Pradesh and America in the field of higher education. He said that there is a need to create more tie-ups between American universities and the universities of Madhya Pradesh. In the discussion, it was decided to start the Women Leadership Exchange Program in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was congratulated by American Consulate General Mike Hankey for assuming the new post. The issues of investment policy and women empowerment in the fields of agriculture, pharmaceutical, new and renewable energy and tourism in Madhya Pradesh were discussed by Consulate General Mike Hankey with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

Consul General Hankey also appreciated the fact that there are six women in the state cabinet, out of which three have been elected MLAs for the first time. The efforts being made by Madhya Pradesh in the field of women empowerment like nutritional food plants run by women, industries run by women etc. were appreciated. The arrival of Cyber Security Delegation in Madhya Pradesh was discussed. Along with this, investment in the field of food processing and development of tribal dominated areas were also discussed.
