CG NEWS: Ignoring traffic rules, fine of around Rs 5 lakh in a month

Balod. The 34th National Road Safety Month is being organized in the district. During the Traffic Road Safety Month, awareness campaigns are being carried out continuously by visiting villages/schools/colleges and strict action is also being taken against careless drivers violating traffic rules.

In the month of January 2024, action was taken in 898 cases and Rs 465500 summon fee was collected. During the month of January 2024, a campaign has been launched to take action against noise pollution, in which till now action has been taken in 05 cases under the Noise Act and in 218 cases under pressure horn. In this month 2024, action has been taken against 15 drivers who were found driving under the influence of alcohol and after presenting them before the Honorable Court, they have been punished with a fine of Rs 1,21,000.
