“Women’s safety is first priority”: Ratan Lal Dangi
As per the instructions of Police Research and Development Bureau, a five-day workshop is being organized from January 29 to February 2 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy, Chandkhuri, the highest police training institute of Chhattisgarh, to create awareness about women’s safety and crimes committed against them.
Addressing the police officers from different districts of Chhattisgarh state in this workshop, Academy Director Ratan Lal Dangi said that until the fear of incidents happening against women is not eliminated, the development of women, society and nation will not be possible. It is not possible to develop. It is the responsibility of the investigating officers of the police to immediately register a crime on receiving information about any kind of crime related to women, do a detailed investigation into the case and present the criminals before the court with solid evidence. Police officers need to be more sensitive on crimes related to women. The investigating officers will have to show sympathy towards the victims of crimes related to women, be sensitive and listen carefully to the victim.
In this five-day workshop, all police officers will be made aware of the latest amendments in legal provisions related to women and the processes of scientific research. Besides, information will also be given regarding the guidelines issued by the courts.
