In the heart of Bhopal, both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress marked the occasion with solemn flag-hoisting ceremonies, echoing the collective pride and remembrance of our nation’s journey. Chief Minister’s Call to Remember the Price of Freedom-Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, addressing the state, urged everyone to remember the immense sacrifices made by the brave souls who laid down their lives for India’s independence. He emphasized that the nation’s pride and respect continue to grow, and highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dedication to serving the country with full vigor and grace in his upcoming term. Dr. Yadav underscored the current era as a pivotal moment for India’s advancement, calling upon every citizen to actively participate in this transformative journey, ensuring future generations can look back with pride on our collective efforts and achievements.
BJP State President: Honouring the Sacrifice, Building the Future-State BJP President, Mr. Hemant Khandelwal, delivered a powerful message, stressing the importance of ensuring that the sacrifices of those who fought for freedom are not in vain. He lauded the nation’s continuous progress and the new heights of development being achieved under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Congress President: Ideology as a Guiding Light-Following the flag hoisting, Madhya Pradesh Congress President, Mr. Jitu Patwari, spoke about the Congress party’s significant contributions over the past 78 years of India’s independence. He articulated that the Congress is more than just a political entity; it embodies the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) and the pursuit of world peace. Mr. Patwari expressed his belief that as India ascends to its position as a global leader, the Congress’s core ideology will serve as its guiding principle. He reaffirmed the party’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the constitution, humanity, and democratic values, pledging to continue fighting for these principles.
Patwari on Challenges: Addressing the Nation’s Woes-Mr. Patwari also turned his attention to pressing national challenges, including unemployment, women’s safety, rising inflation, and the pervasive issue of drug abuse, labelling them as critical concerns. He voiced criticism regarding the government’s approach to the 27% OBC reservation, alleging that a lawyer was sent to court to obstruct it. Mr. Patwari reiterated the Congress’s commitment to caste-based census and identifying the underprivileged. He also commented on the national response to challenges posed by Pakistan, finding the outcomes disappointing. He firmly stated that the Congress will continue to champion the autonomy of constitutional bodies and the fundamental right to vote on every platform.
