Independence Day Celebration: Cultural presentations by school students enthralled the audience

Mother’s Pride School stood first and Laxminarayan Kanya Vidyalaya stood second in cultural competition
Raipur, 15 August 2025: In the state level Independence Day celebrations organized at the Police Parade Ground in the capital Raipur, about 780 school students gave presentations full of folk art and culture of Chhattisgarh. In the competition held between these presentations, Mother’s Pride School Raipur got first place, Laxmi Narayan Kanya Uchchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya Raipur got second place and Salem English Medium School got third place. The Chief Minister honored all the winners by giving shield-medal.
250 children of Mother’s Pride School Raipur gave a patriotic performance on remix songs like O Mai Teri Mitti Bulaye Haye, Daara Lor Gehe Re…, Hamar Para Tuhar Para… Through this dance and song, the students showed the scene of the army of the country sacrificing their lives in the service of Mother India without caring about their own lives to protect the mother, daughter and sister of the country. Along with this, Operation Sindoor, which was carried out by the Indian armed forces against the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, was also shown in an attractive way through the presentation. 200 students of Laxminarayan Kanya U.M.V. Raipur presented a charming dance on the song Hai Kahe Gajri, Hai Kahe Gajri. Through this dance and song, a beautiful impression of the dances performed on many occasions, Raut Nacha and other dances was also presented to the audience. Along with this, the school children also showed the contribution of Chhattisgarh’s festivals and folk dances in the freedom movement through this presentation. 250 children of Salem English School Raipur gave a beautiful presentation on Chhattisgarh’s song Bhuinya Ma Bhag Hamar Jage Re Jage Re. Through this dance and song, the students preserved all the folk dances and culture of Chhattisgarh. They also displayed the beautiful scenes of Chhattisgarh nature. In this dance, Karma folk dance was also performed by school children with very beautiful expressions.
