The main part of the temple is decorated with royalty. It is adorned with the pristine white splendor of Makrana marble from Rajasthan. The exquisite carvings of the deities in this temple have been done on Charmothi sandstone of Karnataka. Whereas, pink sandstone from Bansi Paharpur of Rajasthan has been used in the grand shapes of the entrance gate.
The contribution of devotees to this temple goes far beyond the construction materials. Gujarat’s generosity is reflected in the temple in the form of a magnificent 2100 kg Ashtadhatu bell which will echo the divine tune in its halls. Along with this divine bell, Gujarat has also gifted a 700 kg chariot prepared by All India Darbar Samaj carrying a special ‘Nagada’. The black stone used in making the idol of Lord Rama has come from Karnataka. Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura from the foothills of the Himalayas have introduced intricately carved wooden doors and handmade structures, which stand as gateways to the divine realm.
The list of contributions to this grand and divine temple does not end here. The brass utensils came from Uttar Pradesh and the polished teak wood came from Maharashtra. The story of this Ram temple is not just about the material and its geographical origin. This is the story of countless thousands of talented craftsmen and artisans who have poured their heart, soul and skills into this sacred endeavor of building the temple.
