Losses caused by excessive rain will be compensated, the government is with you: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the loss caused to the public due to excessive rain/flood will be compensated. Do not worry, the government is with you. Compensation should be done by conducting a survey of each affected family. The government will directly transfer the assistance amount to the accounts of the affected through ‘DBT system’. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said this while inspecting the flood/heavy rain affected areas in Guna on Monday. He inspected various rain affected areas of the district and also reviewed the relief and rehabilitation works. During this, Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia was also present. The Chief Minister and the Union Minister went door to door in Cantt area, Patel Nagar and interacted with the affected citizens and listened to their problems.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached Pawan Colony on New Tekri Road and met the families affected by the rain and got to know the situation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the heavy rains that occurred in the past few days have broken the record of 32 years in the district, which created an unprecedented situation. The administration faced this challenge with promptness and coordination. 170 citizens including an elderly woman from Guna New City Colony were successfully rescued. The pace of relief work was accelerated due to rising water level in various reservoirs. The Chief Minister said that intensive rescue work was done by a 70-member team of NDRF. Various social organizations and administrative staff together carried out relief work like distribution of food packets, establishment of temporary shelters and distribution of essential materials.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that more rain is expected in the coming days, so the administration should be fully vigilant. He said that it is the responsibility of the public representatives to stand with the people in every situation. It is a matter of joy that Union Minister Shri Scindia is monitoring the relief work while being in constant touch. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav assured the affected citizens that the government is with them in every situation, they will not be left alone in any kind of difficulty. He expressed gratitude to all the sisters for welcoming them with Rakshabandhan. On this occasion, the sisters tied Rakhi and gave a warm welcome and felicitation to the Chief Minister. During this, MLA Shri Pannalal Shakya, District Panchayat President Shri Arvind Singh Dhakad, former Minister Shri Mahendra Singh Sisodia, former MLA Shri Rajendra Singh Saluja, Divisional Commissioner Gwalior Shri Manoj Khatri, IG Shri Arvind Saxena and public representatives were present.
