Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by garlanding his statue

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Sunday paid humble tribute by garlanding and offering floral tribute to the life-size statue of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee located in Arera Colony area. Late Shri Mukherjee’s 125th birth anniversary was celebrated in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. It is known that late Shri Mukherjee was born on 6 July 1901. During the garlanding and tribute program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav remembered the contributions made by late Dr. Mukherjee in the national interest. The Chief Minister said that the founder of Jan Sangh, late Shri Mukherjee was a true patriot. He was a strong proponent of strong nationalism and a vocal thinker who always lived with the national interest in mind. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was not only a politician, but a visionary national leader. His life inspires patriotism, self-sacrifice and service spirit. He put forward the voice of the Indian people very boldly in front of the then government. Late Shri Mukherjee was a great patriot. Dr. Mukherjee strengthened the foundation of national unity with great zeal by giving the slogan ‘Two constitutions, two prime ministers and two flags will not work in one country’.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that late Dr. Mukherjee was in favour of cultural and social unity of the country. He gave new direction, new ideas to bind the country in the thread of unity. There is a need to imbibe his ideas and values. Today, Mr. Mukherjee’s ideas are even more relevant to make India more powerful, harmonious and self-reliant. He said that India will always be indebted to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Bhopal MP Mr. Alok Sharma also addressed the program and put forth his views. On this occasion, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Khajuraho MP Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma, MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani, former Union Minister Shri Suresh Pachauri, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Kishan Suryavanshi, former MP Shri Alok Sanjar, social worker Shri Ravindra Yati, Shri Rahul Kothari along with other public representatives and citizens were present.
