There should be continuous supply of fertilizers to farmers in the state: Chief Minister Say
Chief Minister gave strict instructions to the officials in the high level review meeting regarding the availability of fertilizers
Raipur 01 July 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today held a high level review meeting regarding the availability of fertilizers and seeds in view of the upcoming Kharif season at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. Chief Minister Sai directed the officials to ensure continuous supply of fertilizers to the farmers in the state.
The Chief Minister especially talked about encouraging the use of NPK fertilizers in place of DAP and asked to make the farmers aware of its benefits. Sai directed to monitor and continuously review the availability and distribution of fertilizers in district-wise cooperative societies through collectors. Chief Minister Sai said that this time of farming is very important for the farmers. If there is any kind of hindrance in the supply of fertilizers and seeds at this time, it will have a direct impact on the sowing and production of crops. He directed the officials to ensure that farmers get adequate quantity of fertilizers on time and at a reasonable rate. He said that arrangements for NPK fertilizers are also being made in the committees, immediate steps should be taken to make it available to the farmers. Expressing deep concern over the sale of substandard and fake fertilizers, he directed that strict action should be taken on such cases immediately. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, Chief Minister’s Secretary Rahul Bhagat, Agriculture Production Commissioner Shehla Nigar, Director Agriculture Rahul Dev and Markfed officers and employees were present in the meeting.
