Devastation due to massive cloudburst in Silai Band in Uttarakhand
A horrifying night-A sudden cloudburst in Silai Band in Uttarkashi district on Saturday night caused massive destruction. Heavy rains and landslides destroyed many houses and many people went missing. This incident happened so suddenly that people did not get a chance to understand anything.
Concern for Nepali laborers-The biggest concern in this accident is that eight to nine Nepali laborers are missing. They were sleeping in their tents when this accident happened. There is a possibility of being buried under the debris and their search is on, but no clue has been found yet.
Government relief work-Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the accident and has directed the officials to immediately engage in relief and rescue work. NDRF and SDRF teams have reached the spot and relief work is going on. The Chief Minister himself is also constantly monitoring the situation.
Yamunotri Highway closed-This incident happened on the Yamunotri Highway, due to which the highway has been closed at many places. The water level of the Yamuna river has also increased due to heavy debris falling, due to which there is a danger of flood in the Syana Chatti area. The administration has appealed to the people to be alert.
Administration on alert-The administration has started the work of shifting people to safe places in the affected areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain for the next few days, due to which the administration has become even more alert. Relief and rescue operations are going on and the search for missing people is going on.
