Yoga means to connect and the journey from I to We is the basis of Yoga: PM Modi

Bhopal: While virtually joining the national program organized on International Yoga Day in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the state level ‘Yoga Sangam’ mass yoga practice program on Atal Path in Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also practiced yoga with the participants for a healthy and disease-free body on International Yoga Day. Prime Minister Shri Modi’s address was broadcast live on this occasion. Following the Common Yoga Protocol broadcast from the national program, a large number of students and general public present on Atal Path did yoga under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey, MP Shri V.D. Sharma and Shri Alok Sharma were present in the program. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said in the Yogandhra program in Visakhapatnam that yoga means to connect. Yoga has connected the world in the last decade. When India proposed to recognize yoga at the United Nations (UN) at the international level, 175 countries stood with India’s proposal. Such unprecedented support is not normal in the present times. This was not just support, but it was an effort for the betterment of the world. Today, yoga has become a part of the lifestyle of crores of people across the world. Yoga is for everyone and belongs to everyone. Breaking all age and other barriers, it provides excellent health. How yoga can be promoted socially in the society can be understood from the success of the Yogandhra campaign. This year the theme of yoga is one earth for one health. Yoga is a medium for us to bring the world on one platform by walking on the path of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. It is a journey of rising above ‘I’ and ‘we’, a feeling of dedication, service and coexistence.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that there is a period of unrest in many areas of the world, but yoga gives us peace. The world community is requested to make yoga a medium of global partnership. Today, efforts are underway to give a place to the scientific nature of yoga in modern medical system. Digital technology has also played an important role in promoting yoga. Today, the mantra of Heal in India is becoming famous in the world and yoga has a big role in it too. Trained yoga teachers are being deployed in Ayushman Yoga Mandirs across the country. Our effort is to give the benefits of yoga to the world. Increasing obesity is a big challenge for the world. Prime Minister Shri Modi, while calling upon the countrymen and the people of the world to take a pledge to reduce obesity on Yoga Day, said that it is necessary to make yoga a medium of healthy lifestyle along with eating less oily food.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is moving forward with the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. For us, the world is one family, and the occasion of World Yoga Day is the day to introduce the world to India’s basic philosophy and yoga style. Doing yoga calms the mind, peace brings satisfaction and when there is satisfaction in the mind, man moves towards non-violence. Yoga increases physical strength and mental peace and happiness. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid obeisance to Maharishi Patanjali, the creator of Ashtanga Yoga Darshan, and thanked him for giving the boon of yoga to humanity for physical, mental and spiritual health. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that 21st June is also very important from the point of view of astronomical calculations. On this day, Lord Surya Narayana completes his journey of Uttarayan and enters Dakshinayan. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has introduced the world to the basic philosophy and lifestyle of India through yoga. Considering the entire Vansudhara as a family, Prime Minister Shri Modi saved lives of people by providing necessary assistance to more than 100 countries of the world along with saving the people of the country during the period of Covid.
Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey said that Yoga Day has become a medium of harmony between different religions and cultures. Yoga has developed the world as a family with the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Yoga gives us an opportunity to look inside ourselves for some time in our busy life. Mind can be kept healthy through yoga. In the Gita, Yogeshwar Shri Krishna has said that efficiency of actions is yoga for a human being. MP Shri VD Sharma said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had given the message of doing yoga to make the world happy. 10 years of World Yoga Day have been completed. Today we are celebrating the 11th International Yoga Day. Prime Minister Shri Modi has expanded India’s health consciousness throughout the world through yoga. MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana along with public representatives and yoga lovers were present in the program held in Bhopal on the theme of “Yoga for one earth-one health”. Many programs were organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day in all the districts of the state.
