Raipur – Today, in Raipur North Assembly constituency, Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra and Mayor Mrs. Meenal Chaubey inaugurated the Mahalakshmi Market, Pandri, Shahid Hemu Kalani Ward No. 28, under Raipur Municipal Corporation Zone 2, in presence of Municipal Corporation Chairman Suryakant Rathore, Public Works Department Chairman Deepak Jaiswal, Finance Department Chairman Mahendra Khodiyar, Shahid Hemu Kalani Ward Councilor Mrs. Kritika Jain, Zone 3 Chairman Representative Dr. Pramod Sahu, Pandri Kapada Bazar Vyapari Sangh President Saral Modi, Chief Engineer U.K. Ghalendra, Superintending Engineer Rajesh Rathore, Zone 2 Zone Commissioner Dr. R.K. Dongre, Executive Engineer Anshul Sharma Senior, P.D. Ghritalhare, Architect Zakir Khan, Retired Superintending Engineer Vinod Devangan, Assistant Engineer Shailendra Patel, Deputy Engineer Ms. Arjita Diwan, traders, dignitaries, social workers, common people performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the Mechanized Parking and Non Motorized Transport Project by breaking coconut and using a hoe and gave another wonderful gift to the citizens in the Municipal Corporation area of the capital city.
In Mahalaxmi Kapda Market Pandri, the work of setting up the structure for parking of 24 cars will be done at an approved cost of Rs. 70 lakhs. At the same time, under the Non Motorized Transport NNT project, the work of construction of paved area for off street parking, NMT, stop marking and traffic signage will be done at an approved cost of Rs. 61 lakhs in Mahalaxmi Market Pandri. It was informed that the implementation of the Mechanized Parking and Non Motorized Transport Project in Mahalaxmi Kapda Market Pandri will reduce the congestion and at the same time, illegal parking on the roadside will end and traffic will be smooth and organized. This will encourage cyclists and pedestrians. The efficiency of the market area will increase and citizens will have better access to shops. The security system will improve and a safe environment will be available for pedestrians, especially senior citizens, women and children. Implementation of projects in the direction of organized structures and aesthetic development will prove to be a meaningful initiative. The said projects will not only solve the physical problems of a market area but will also contribute towards developing the capital city of Raipur as a smart and safe city. Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra and Mayor Mrs. Meenal Chaubey directed the officials to ensure early commencement of project implementation work at the Bhoomi Pujan site and instructed to implement the project on priority in a quality manner by continuously monitoring for expansion of public facilities in public interest. Shaheed Hemu Kalani Ward Councilor Mrs. Kritika Jain, on behalf of all the ward residents, thanked Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra, Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey, Chairman Suryakant Rathore, Public Works Department President Deepak Jaiswal for starting the work of mechanized parking and non-motorized transport project in Mahalaxmi Market, Pandri under the ward area by performing Bhoomi Pujan.
