Madhya Pradesh is a state with immense potential: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is a state with immense possibilities. Madhya Pradesh has received full love of nature. Located in the heart of India, Madhya Pradesh has excellent air connectivity, rail network and highways which facilitate access to Madhya Pradesh from every corner of the country. These infrastructure are continuously expanding. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has further enriched these facilities by inaugurating Satna and Datia airports. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the main session of the Spiritual and Wellness Summit-2025 in Ujjain by lighting a lamp amidst the sacred sound of Vedic mantras. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today the Spiritual and Wellness Summit has been organized on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra and Environment Day. This occasion is also a representation of the vast natural and spiritual heritage of Madhya Pradesh. He said that the culture and lifestyle of India is attracting the attention of the whole world today. Love and worship of nature is an integral part of Indian culture. The Indian philosophy of life is not limited to the treatment of diseases, but encourages such a lifestyle in which a person remains healthy and there is no possibility of diseases. He said that concrete efforts are being made to make Madhya Pradesh a medical hub. Medicity is being established in Ujjain and 25 acres of land is being provided for the establishment of a medical college for just ₹ 1. The private sector is also being given all possible support in running the hospital.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this year is being celebrated as the Industry Year in Madhya Pradesh. Investment is being encouraged in every field, every sector by organizing Regional Industry Conclave, Global Investor Summit and Sector Based Summit. The investment process has been made easy and attractive through 18 new investor friendly policies in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that investment proposals of more than 30 lakh crores and proposals for creation of more than 21 lakh 40 thousand jobs have been received in GIS. He said that the government is giving special incentives of Rs 5,000 per person for employment-oriented enterprises. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is power surplus, an island of peace, skilled manpower, excellent infrastructure and natural, spiritual places make it an ideal place for investment in the spiritual and wellness sector. He said that along with policy support, special support and customized policy avenues are also available for investment proposals of more than Rs 100 crore. He called upon all investors to invest in Madhya Pradesh. MoU was exchanged between NIPER (National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research) and MPIDC in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department Raghavendra Kumar Singh and Director of NIPER Shailendra Saraf shared the MoU. NIPER will play the role of knowledge partner in Ujjain Medicity. Short films were screened on the rich natural, cultural and spiritual heritage of Madhya Pradesh and the overall religious and spiritual heritage of Ujjain.

Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj gave letter of intent for setting up spiritual and wellness center. Religious Guru Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan said that Madhya Pradesh is a very lovely land. Everything is here. He said that looking at the infrastructure development in today’s Ujjain, it does not seem that this is the old Ujjain. He thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for the development work of Ujjain. The grandeur of Mahakal Lok is unique. After completing the journey of the four Dhams, people want to come to Mahakal Lok. Today, religious cities of India are reaching the top in tourism. This is the time when investors should take advantage of this opportunity and participate in strengthening the tourism infrastructure. Immense possibilities are going to be created here in the coming Simhastha. Crores of tourists will arrive from the country and abroad. We all have to be ready for that from now on. Guru Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj gave letter of intent to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for setting up spiritual and wellness centers near Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar.

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain said that Madhya Pradesh has a favorable environment for tourism. The state has forests, wild animals, holy rivers, while for religious tourism there are two Jyotirlingas Mahakal and Omkareshwar and other attractive religious places. The state has attractive heritage, many old good princely states, which have been developed as heritage. Out of 62 UNESCO heritage sites in the whole country, 18 are in Madhya Pradesh. Since Madhya Pradesh is in the middle of the country, it is easy to reach here. The Prime Minister has emphasized on increasing tourism. Cleanliness is most important for increasing tourism. The cleanest city “Indore” is in Madhya Pradesh. The condition of cleanliness is better not only in Indore but also in other cities. Indore’s cleanliness is at par with western countries. 18 new policies have been made for investment in the state and some old policies. In these, provision has been made to provide financial help and infrastructure to attract investors, which is equal or better than other states of the country. The necessary permissions NOC for investors to start the project have been made convenient. The Right to Public Delivery System was first implemented in the state, in which permissions will be issued within the stipulated period. On this occasion, Vinod Bhandari, Chairman of Bhandari Group, highlighted the medical tourism being built in Ujjain.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Shivshekhar Shukla gave detailed information about the investment possibilities, opportunities, policies and various areas of cooperation in the tourism sector in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted the opportunities in spiritual, religious, natural and wellness tourism. Principal Secretary Shukla said that the number of tourists arriving in Madhya Pradesh is continuously increasing. The arrival of tourists has increased from 8.87 crore in the year 2019-20 to 13.33 crore in the year 2024-25. Out of the top-5 tourist destinations, 4 (Ujjain, Maihar, Chitrakoot and Amarkantak) are religious cities. He said that policy changes have been made to facilitate investment. Now only 10 permissions are required instead of 28-30 permissions. The entire process is online and time-bound. There is a provision of 15 to 30 percent subsidy (up to the limit of 90 crores) on investment in tourism sector. More than 900 hectares of land bank is available in the state. Also, there is a policy of special package on investment of more than 100 crores, which also includes exemption from bidding process for land allotment. He also informed about the provisions for golf infrastructure development. He also mentioned in detail the various facilities of the department.

Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is moving at a fast pace towards modern development by assimilating the traditions and culture of India. Spirituality and cultural heritage are the main identity of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, natural resources, wildlife are also in abundance. He told Chief Minister Dr. Yadav that in the panel session, the model of cooperation was brainstormed by providing extensive information about the spiritual and wellness sector to the investors. Along with this, information was given about the development plan while preserving the heritage in Simhastha-2028. He informed that Madhya Pradesh is among the top states in India in terms of Wellness Tourism Growth (CAGR), which makes Madhya Pradesh an ideal destination for investment in the spiritual and wellness sector. Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment (Independent Charge) and District Incharge Gautam Tetwal, regional MP Anil Ferozia, MLA Anil Jain Kalukheda, Municipal Corporation President Kalawati Yadav, Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education Sandeep Yadav, Managing Director MPIDC Chandramouli Shukla, Chairman of Bhandari Group Vinod Bhandari and a large number of investors were present.
