New path of employment: Uttarakhand government’s scheme will provide strong support to youth

Uttarakhand’s Dhami Government Tackles Unemployment with Innovative Employment Plan-This initiative focuses on empowering Uttarakhand’s youth through employment and self-employment opportunities. It’s a comprehensive plan designed to boost the state’s economy and reduce unemployment.

 A Giant Leap Towards Eradicating Unemployment-The Uttarakhand government is shifting its focus from solely relying on government jobs to actively promoting self-employment. A detailed plan has been developed, introducing multiple schemes aimed at creating new employment opportunities and providing financial aid to existing small businesses. The goal is to create a sustainable and thriving job market for the youth of Uttarakhand.

Loan and Subsidy Support for Self-Employment-Under this ambitious plan, the government will provide subsidies ranging from 15% to 30% to young entrepreneurs starting their own ventures. Loans will be available: up to ₹25 lakhs for the manufacturing sector, ₹10 lakhs for the service sector, and ₹10 lakhs for other businesses. This financial support aims to ease the financial burden for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Streamlined and Timely Loan Processing-To ensure efficient loan disbursement, the government has simplified banking procedures. Loans up to ₹5 lakhs will be processed within two weeks, while loans between ₹5 lakhs and ₹25 lakhs will be processed within three weeks. This reduction in processing time will help young entrepreneurs access funds quickly and efficiently.

 Digital Tracking for Transparency and Accountability-Banks are required to update the district industry centers and beneficiaries about loan approvals or rejections through an online portal. This ensures transparency and allows applicants to track their application status online at every step. This digital approach enhances the overall efficiency and accountability of the process.

Empowering Youth Through Self-Reliance-The Dhami government believes that self-employment is crucial for the state’s economic growth and youth empowerment. This initiative aims to create self-reliant individuals who can not only support themselves but also create employment opportunities for others. The plan is set to run until 2030, ensuring maximum participation and benefit for the people of Uttarakhand.
