More than 1300 railway stations in the country will be developed as Amrit Bharat stations: Prime Minister Shri Modi

Bhopal: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said in Bikaner amidst the chants of Bharat Mata that the resolve for a developed India is getting stronger. A great development campaign is going on across the country. Unprecedented work has been done in the last 11 years to develop our roads and railway network. The country is spending 6 times more money than before on development works. The world is surprised to see the development works in India. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was addressing the virtual inauguration program of 103 Amrit stations of the country from a program organized in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav attended the inauguration ceremony by being present at Narmadapuram Railway Station. Under the program, Narmadapuram, Katni, Orchha, Seoni, Shajapur and Shridham Amrit stations of the state were inaugurated.

All stations will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Indian culture, heritage and passenger amenities have been incorporated in these stations. Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishav, Union Law and Justice Minister Shri Arjunram Meghwal were present at the program organized in Bikaner. State Public Works Minister Dr. Rakesh Singh, MP Shri Darshan Singh Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Maya Narolia, former Assembly Speaker Shri Sitasharan Sharma and local MLAs were present at the inauguration ceremony of Narmadapuram Railway Station. It is noteworthy that under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), 103 Amrit stations located in 86 districts of 18 states and union territories of India have been developed at a cost of more than Rs 1100 crore.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that India is modernizing its network of trains. Vande Bharat, Amrit Train and Namo trains reflect the new momentum of India. Vande Bharat trains are running on 70 routes of the country. More than 34 thousand kilometers of new rail tracks have been laid. Unmanned crossings on broad gauge tracks have now become history. Work is underway on the country’s first bullet train project. We are modernizing more than 1300 stations. These have been named Amrit Bharat Stations, out of which 103 stations have been completed. These stations show both development and heritage. The image of Lord Shri Ram will be seen at Orchha station. Similarly, thousands of years old heritage will be visible at all the stations. These stations will promote tourism in the states and youth will also get employment opportunities. Along with this, the railway bridge built on the Chenab river of the country, Atal Setu in Mumbai, Pamban Bridge in the south will be seen.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that passengers are the owners of railway stations. Take care that there is no damage or dirt here. The government is investing thousands of crores of rupees, this money is going to laborers and local traders. The upgradation of railway stations helps farmers in the transportation of goods. The youth also benefit from infrastructure works. Along with completing irrigation projects in Rajasthan, rivers are being linked. Farmers of many districts will benefit from the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the land of Rajasthan teaches that nothing is bigger than the country. In Pahalgam, the terrorists had destroyed the sindoor of our sisters by asking their religion. After this, every citizen of the country had taken a pledge that the terrorists will be wiped out. Our government gave a free hand to the three armies, the armies created such a circle that the Pakistanis were forced to kneel down. The world and the enemies of the country have seen what happens when sindoor becomes gunpowder. Tiranga Yatras are being taken out across the country in honor of valor. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that those who had set out to wipe out sindoor have been wiped out, this is not a game of revenge, this is a new form of justice. This is Operation Sindoor, this is not just anger, this is the fierce form of capable India, this is the new form of India. Now there will be no trade with Pakistan, there will be talks only on POK. Pakistan will not get water. It will be forced to beg for every penny. Security and prosperity both are necessary in the construction of a new India.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has resolved to make India the leading country in the world, India is changing rapidly under his leadership in the changing times. Indian Railways has got a new look due to the visionary thinking of Prime Minister Shri Modi. A new chapter is going to be added in the history of Indian Railways. New railway lines are being laid across the country. After independence, it took 100 years for the railways to come from narrow gauge to broad gauge. But in the last 11 years, thousands of kilometers long track across the country has been made 3 and 4 lane railway lines. The Madhya Pradesh government has provided land to BEML to set up a rail coach manufacturing plant, now modern rail coaches will also be manufactured in Madhya Pradesh. The inauguration of a total of 103 stations including 6 Amrit stations of Madhya Pradesh is a historic moment. This will set a new record in the field of railway infrastructure. The inauguration of these stations by the hands of Prime Minister Shri Modi is a matter of great pride. Amrit stations will prove to be the ‘gateway of development’ of the country. This initiative is another living proof of Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision and vision of a developed India.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in future Narmadapuram, Budhni, Itarsi, Sohagpur will take the shape of a metropolis. The state government organized a regional industry conclave in Narmadapuram district, where solar equipment manufacturing units will be set up. The state government is promoting heritage conservation and tourism along with setting up industries. Pachmarhi will be developed as the best tourist center of India. Tourism will also increase along with industrial activities in Narmadapuram. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that work is going on on three different river projects to increase irrigation area in the state. An agricultural fair is being organized in Narsinghpur on 26, 27 and 28 May. Here farmers will be trained in new agricultural technology and agri-based industry. Special encouragement is being given to agriculture-based industries in the state. Women are being made self-reliant under the Nari Shaktikaran Mission. In this sequence, a huge conference on women empowerment is being organized in Bhopal on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilya Mata on May 31 in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Modi.

At the programme organised in Bikaner, Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, unprecedented work has been done in the development of railways across the country. Amrit Bharat Station Yojana was started to develop small and medium stations. By the year 2027, the new construction of 500 stations will be completed and world class facilities will be available here. Public Works Minister Dr. Rakesh Singh, MP Shri Darshan Singh Chaudhary, former Assembly Speaker Shri Sitasharan Sharma also addressed the inauguration programme of the railway station in Narmadapuram.
