Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the newly constructed District Transport Office in Mungeli

General public will get great convenience in license and registration related works
Raipur 19 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the newly constructed District Transport Office Building at a cost of Rs 1 crore 72 lakh in village Bachhera of Patharia development block of Mungeli district. He said that for a long time there was a lack of facility of permanent transport office building in the district, due to which common citizens had difficulty in license, vehicle registration and other works. Now with the new building, this facility will be available at the local level itself, which will give a lot of relief to the public. On the occasion of inauguration, the Chief Minister provided learning licenses to five applicants as a symbol, which brought happiness on their faces. On this occasion, he said that the priority of the state government is to provide timely and smooth services to the public. Through the new office building, all major services including vehicle registration, driving license will be available in the same premises. In this complex built on six acres of land, one acre has been reserved for office building and five acres of area for driving test and fitness testing center. Basic facilities like 18 rooms, 6 halls, attached let-bath and common toilets have been provided in the building. The office has been designed in a fully equipped form, which will also increase the efficiency of departmental work.
It is noteworthy that from the year 2021-22 till now, 11,721 driving licenses have been made in the district and more than 49,000 vehicles have been registered. This figure shows that there is a huge demand for transport services among the people, which this new office will meet easily. Chief Minister Sai said that along with accelerating development in the state, it is the constant effort of our government to increase administrative efficiency and service availability. Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, MLA Punnulal Mohle, Dharamlal Kaushik, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister P Dayanand and other officials and public representatives were present on this occasion.
