Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited Lord Vishnu Varaha

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav offered prayers at the Vishnu Varah temple after visiting Lord Vishnu Varah in Majhauli, Jabalpur and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. State Minister (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism and Religious Trust Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, MP Ashish Dubey, MLA Ajay Vishnoi, Rajkumar Patel were also with him on this occasion.

The Vishnu Varah temple located at Majhauli, about 45 km from Jabalpur, was built in the 11th century. This Kalchuri-era temple, which was destroyed over time, was rebuilt in the 18th century. It is said that the idol of Lord Vishnu Varah installed in this temple is the largest and the only idol in the world that is worshipped. It was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple in the 11th century. The Vishnu Varah temple of religious and mythological importance is also excellent from the artistic point of view and is included in the state protected monuments.
