Ladli Laxmi Yojana is wonderful for daughters: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that our government has always been at the forefront for the welfare of all the daughters, sisters and mothers of the state. To encourage the birth of daughters and secure their future, our then government had prepared the Chief Minister Ladli Laxmi Yojana and implemented it from 1 April 2007. This scheme is a wonderful scheme in the world to encourage the birth of daughters and to gradually improve the gender ratio of the state. In this, financial assistance is given by the government to the parents from the birth of daughters to their education and even their marriage. So that no parent considers daughters a burden on themselves, remains free from the worry of their education and only moves forward in building their bright future. Due to the unexpected response to this scheme, the gender ratio in the state has increased. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Ladli Laxmis after planting saplings in the State Hangar premises on the occasion of Ladli Laxmi Yojana Day (2 May) on Friday.

Daughters are our Mahalakshmi Chief Minister Dr. Yadav planted mango, amla, orange and lemon saplings along with more than 25 Ladli Lakshmis of Bhopal district under the campaign. He said that daughters are our Mahalakshmi, Ashtalakshmi and in our Indian culture, Lakshmi is always worshipped. It is because of daughters that our homes are bright. This campaign inspires us to be determined to improve the future of our daughters. Every parent of the state must plant a sapling in the name of their daughters and nurture that sapling like their own child. Giving information, he said that since the beginning of the Chief Minister Ladli Laxmi Yojana, more than 50 lakh 45 thousand Ladli Lakshmis have been registered so far. All the Ladli Lakshmis who came to the program welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by giving flowers and planted saplings with him. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav caressed the Ladli Laxmis, urged them to study hard and also got group photographs taken with the girls.

Daughters should study well and move forward. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while wishing all the daughters of the state on the occasion of Ladli Laxmi Utsav, said that they should study as much as possible and move forward in their lives. Our government will worry about their future. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that necessary guidance and help will be provided to the daughters at every step. Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi was present. Chief Minister Ladli Laxmi Yojana Ladli Laxmi Yojana was implemented in Madhya Pradesh from April 2007 with the aim of positive thinking among the public towards the birth of a girl child, improvement in sex ratio, improvement in the educational level and health status of girls and laying the foundation of their good future. To make the benefits given to the girls of the state permanent, the Madhya Pradesh Ladli Laxmi (Girl Incentive) Act 2018 was implemented by the government, which guarantees the amount to be given to every girl child. Expanding the already running Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana, with the aim of encouraging Ladli girls towards higher education, the state government approved Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0. Accordingly, the celebration of Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana Day is organized every year on 02 May.

Benefits received by girls After the approval of the Ladli Laxmi case, an assurance certificate of Rs 1 lakh 43 thousand is given. Under the scheme, girls are given scholarship amount of Rs 2000 on taking admission in class 6th, Rs 4000 on taking admission in class 9th, Rs 6000 on taking admission in class 11th and Rs 6000 on taking admission in class 12th through e-payment. Ladli girls are given an incentive amount of Rs 25000 in 2 equal installments in the first and last year of the course period on taking admission in graduation or professional course (minimum course duration two years) after class 12th. Under the scheme, one lakh rupees will be paid to the concerned Ladli Laxmi on completion of 21 years of age, provided the beneficiary girl has appeared in the class 12th examination and her marriage has taken place only after completing the minimum prescribed age mentioned in the Child Marriage Prohibition Act, 2006.

So far 12.85 lakh girls have received scholarship Since the inception of Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojana, more than 50.45 lakh girls have been registered in the state. Out of these, more than Rs 648.63 crore has been paid as scholarship to 12.85 lakh girls. Currently, payments are being made to the girls in a safe manner through Uni-Pay. Ladli Laxmi Utsav celebrated in the state Ladli Laxmi Day was celebrated as a festival on May 2 under the Chief Minister Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Participating in the campaign, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav planted saplings along with daughters today. Instructions were issued by the Women and Child Development Department regarding organizing the Ladli Laxmi Utsav on May 2. Under this, Ladli Laxmi Utsav programs were organized at all the district, urban bodies and gram panchayat levels in the state. Ladli girls, their parents, Ladli Club president and members, and local public representatives participated in the program.
