Major action against illegal colonies: Government land worth Rs 1.5 crore freed

Bhopal: On the instructions of Collector Bhopal Shri Kaushlendra Vikram Singh, as part of the campaign being run against illegal colonies, on Thursday, a joint team of District Administration, Revenue Department, Police and Municipal Corporation took action on a large scale in village Bishankhedi. In this action, illegal plotting being done on government land worth about Rs 1.5 crore was removed using JCB. This land is located in village Bishankhedi, Patwari Halka number-10, in which Khasra number 14/2 area 1.00 hectare and Khasra number 15/2 area 0.652 hectare were occupied by Shubham Sahu son of Jamna Prasad and Najma wife of Haseen Khan, whose estimated government value is about 1 crore 9 lakh rupees.
Apart from this, an illegal colony was also being constructed by Jiyabai wife of Daulat Singh, Gopal Singh, Pawan and Hemraj sons of Daulat Singh on Khasra number 139, area 0.600 hectare, whose government value has been estimated to be around 40 lakh rupees. The administration has made it clear that encroachment and illegal plotting on government land will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against those involved in such activities and the general public has also been warned to avoid buying plots in illegal colonies.
