Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed the Naxal eradication campaign

Naxal eradication is not just a campaign, but a mission to secure the future of Bastar and Chhattisgarh – Chief Minister

Raipur 28 April 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today reviewed the Naxal eradication campaign in Chhattisgarh in his office at the Secretariat. Home Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police (DGP) Arun Dev Gautam, Special DG Naxal Operations, CRPF and senior officers of other security forces were present in the meeting. The main focus of the meeting was the internal security situation of the state and the progress of Naxal eradication campaigns. Chief Minister Sai said in the meeting that the Chhattisgarh government is working firmly with the resolve to make the state Naxal-free under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that our goal is to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026 and we are making every possible effort in this direction. Appreciating the indomitable courage, dedication and devotion of the officers and jawans of the security forces, the Chief Minister said that due to their bravery, many areas of the state have been freed from Naxal influence today. Encouraging the security forces to keep their morale high, he said that the final success is now very near. Chief Minister Sai specifically directed that effective action should be ensured by strengthening mutual coordination and information gathering mechanism in anti-Naxal operations. He said that Naxal eradication is not just a campaign, but a mission to secure the future of Bastar and Chhattisgarh, in which any kind of laxity is not acceptable.

Chief Minister Sai said that both security and development have to be carried forward together in districts like Bijapur, Sukma and Dantewada. He directed the officials to increase dialogue to win the confidence of the local communities and complete the development works in the area at a fast pace. Chief Minister Sai said that special attention should be paid to road construction, health services, education and employment generation in Naxal-affected areas. He said that the public should feel that the government is dedicated to them and wants to bring positive change in their lives. At the end of the meeting, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is now at a decisive turning point. He called upon all the officers to play their role in achieving this historic goal with full devotion, vigilance and commitment. The Chief Minister said that in times to come, Chhattisgarh will get a new identity in the entire country as a Naxal-free and development-oriented state. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed confidence that all the security forces, administrative staff and the people of the state will unite and successfully face this challenge and make the dream of ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ come true.
