“Chief Minister Dhami’s order, security should be increased at religious and tourist places, strict action should be taken against fake news”

Uttarakhand : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has asked to strengthen the security system at religious and tourist places in the state. He has asked to pay more attention to security especially during the Chardham Yatra. The Chief Minister asked the District Magistrates to regularly monitor this system in their respective districts. Also, he warned that immediate action should be taken against those spreading fake news in the Chardham Yatra and other important matters and asked the District Magistrates to convey the correct information to the public from time to time in different ways. The Chief Minister also directed that the verification of tenants in the state should be ensured and strict action should be taken against those who do not do so. Along with this, verification of those living in carts, phads and slums should also be done. If someone has wrongly given documents like ration card, Aadhar card, electricity connection, Ayushman card to the people, then strict action should also be taken against them. The Chief Minister asked the District Magistrates to put the officers of all departments on duty for verification. Also, instructions were given to keep a close watch on the incidents of forest fire and take strict action against those involved in it.
He also talked about making necessary arrangements to control dengue and running awareness campaigns along with fogging. The Chief Minister also instructed not to cut electricity in hospitals and maintain regular supply of electricity and water in the summer season. He also talked about improving the arrangements for roads and parking for the Kainchidham Annual Festival. Apart from this, the Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrates to conduct surprise inspections of offices from time to time, so that the system remains correct and people’s problems can be resolved quickly. The Chief Minister also instructed to monitor the progress of smart meters, take electricity bill complaints seriously, and take immediate action against those who damage government property. Also, he asked to ensure that tenders up to 10 crore are given only to local contractors. Similarly, the Chief Minister also instructed to maintain dialogue with people associated with the industry and give targets to all the districts to promote the Solar Self-Employment Scheme. He also asked to pay special attention to maintaining the traffic system and the condition of roads for the Chardham Yatra. He also asked to ensure that priority is given to local horse-mule operators on the Yatra route and attention should be paid to cleanliness and beauty along with all the necessary facilities for the devotees.
