Ban on new recruitment, but no impact on existing employees: Chief Secretary

The state government has put a ban on new recruitments of outsourced, contractual, daily wage, work-affected, fixed salary, part-time and ad-hoc employees. There is no need for the existing employees to worry. The Chief Secretary (CS) has made it clear that this ban will be applicable only on upcoming recruitments, the jobs of the employees who are currently working will not be affected. A matter of relief for outsourced and contractual employees CS Anand Bardhan said that the recently issued order has been brought so that only regular recruitment is done on the vacant posts in future. He said that no order has any effect from the previous date, hence there is no threat to the jobs of employees already outsourced, contractual or in any other way. The jobs of old employees will remain safe The Chief Secretary has given clear instructions to all the departments that by following this new order, changes should be made only in upcoming recruitments. The employees working in the existing outsourced, contractual and other categories will be able to continue their jobs as before. After this clarification from the government, thousands of employees have heaved a sigh of relief.
