Great sales and increasing demand – The popularity of Kushaq can be gauged from the fact that 5,327 units of it were sold last month (March), which is more than half of the company’s total sales. Due to this increasing demand, the waiting period has also reached 2 to 5 months. The waiting period varies according to the variant. You may have to wait 5 months for the base variant (Classic), 3 months for mid-spec variants and 2 months for the top variant. However, this waiting period also depends on the location and dealership. The Kushaq is built on the MQB A0-IN platform and has received a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test, which indicates its safety. It has a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque. It is made available with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission options. Price and Availability – The price of Skoda Kushaq starts from Rs 7.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.40 lakh. Bookings for the base model were discontinued some time ago, but have now been resumed. The company aims to deliver around 30,000 units by May.
