Oppo F29 Pro smartphone : A mixed experience,ColorOS 15 experience

The Oppo F29 Pro is a smartphone that is praised for its design and display, but its processor and software disappoint somewhat. Today we will know about this phone in detail, so that you can understand if it is the right choice for you. I have been using this phone for the last few days and my experience has been mixed. Let’s know what this phone offers at a price of Rs 28,000.

Design and build quality – When you take the Oppo F29 Pro in your hand, it feels like a comfortable and solid smartphone. It weighs around 180 grams, making it light and easy to use. This phone is available in two attractive colors like Marble White and Granite Black. The model I used was Marble White, which looks very beautiful. Along with this, a special patterned cover is also available in the box of the phone, which further enhances its beauty. Although the company is offering it with 360 Armor Body, it is not completely metal. It has a plastic back and plastic frame, but you get IP68/IP69 protection, which helps protect it from water and dust.

Display: A great experience – The display of Oppo F29 Pro is its biggest strength. It comes with a 6.7-inch Amoled display, which has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 1200 nits. This quad curve display is curved all around, which gives it a premium look. A screen guard also comes with the phone, so you will not have to worry about scratches. Its display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which makes it even stronger. Apart from this, the dual speakers of the phone are also good, which provide loud sound.

Performance: Sweet and sour experience – The Oppo F29 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset, which is based on 4 nanometer technology. However, this processor is also used in phones worth Rs 15,000, which does not seem appropriate in a phone worth Rs 28,000. Its effect is also visible on the performance of the phone. At times, lag was seen in the phone and the camera app also takes time to open. On hot days, the phone also gave an overheating warning, which is a concern. This phone is fine for light users, but it can cause problems for gamers or heavy users.

Software: ColorOS 15 experience The Oppo F29 Pro comes with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. It is better than before, but there is room for improvement. The phone has many bloatware apps, which you can uninstall. ColorOS 15 has a lot of customization options, which will appeal to those who want to set up their phone the way they want. Apart from this, Oppo has also taken some features from Apple’s iPhone, such as Dynamic Island, which appears while charging or setting a timer.
