Raipur, 11 April 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today laid the foundation stone of the plant of Polymatek Electronics Private Limited, the country’s renowned semiconductor manufacturer company, in Nava Raipur. This company is one of the leading companies manufacturing semiconductor chips, which will set up a large factory in Chhattisgarh at a cost of Rs 1,143 crore. This plant, to be built in 1.5 lakh square feet, will produce 10 billion chips by the year 2030, which will be used in telecom, 6G/7G, laptops and power electronics. The establishment of this plant will provide employment opportunities to the local people. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai in his address said that it is a proud moment for all of us that the foundation stone for the establishment of the first semiconductor plant in Chhattisgarh has been laid. Chief Minister Sai said that special incentives have been given to the semiconductor industry in the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh, which will definitely help the company to invest here. He said that all the countries of the world that have developed have worked hard in the field of technology, done research and created such an environment that made rapid technological progress possible. Now 6G and 7G technology is also coming and I am happy that the chips required for these will be prepared in our country itself, and our engineers will make them in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. The Chief Minister said that in an Investors Connect program organized in Delhi in December last year, the state officials met the management of Polymatech and at the same time the company expressed its desire to invest in Chhattisgarh.

He said that in a very short time the Industry Department and NRDA provided 1.5 lakh square feet of land for the company in Sector-5 of Nava Raipur. NRDA allotted the land by completing the tender process in 45 days and the lease deed registration was also completed in less than 25 days. The Chief Minister said that this initiative will prove to be very effective in building a developed Chhattisgarh to realize the dream of a developed India. He said that Nava Raipur will definitely emerge as the Silicon Valley of Chhattisgarh, and its beginning has been made with today’s Bhoomi Pujan. During this, the Chief Minister also handed over appointment letters to the youth working in this plant. On the occasion of Bhoomi Pujan, MD of Polymatech Company Ishwar Rao thanked Chief Minister Sai for the promptness and cooperation of the State Government. He also proposed an investment of Rs 10,000 crore to set up a power module fabrication plant in Chhattisgarh. Through this plant, new heights will be achieved in the field of transistors, power electronics and electric vehicles. This will provide employment to more than 5,000 youth in the state. Commerce and Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Housing and Environment Minister O. P. Choudhary, MLA Guru Khuswant Saheb, CSIDC Chairman Rajiv Agarwal, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister P. Dayanand, Secretary of Industries Department Rajat Kumar, CEO of NRDA Saurabh Kumar, MD of CSIDC Vishwesh Kumar along with many senior officers and employees of Polymatech Company were present.
