Amount of Rs 15.37 crore transferred to 44 thousand 940 workers through DBT

Raipur 09 April 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today attended the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Rampratap Singh, the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, organized at BOC Bhawan in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, Labor Minister Lakhanlal Devangan and Board Chairman Dr. Rampratap Singh jointly transferred Rs 15.37 crore to 44 thousand 940 workers through DBT to the bank accounts of the workers. Chief Minister Sai congratulated and wished Dr. Rampratap Singh on assuming office and expressed hope that under his leadership, Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will do better work in the interest of workers. Labor Minister Devangan said on the occasion of transfer of funds to the workers in the program that, in the government of Chief Minister Vishnudev, the workers of the state and their family members are continuously getting the benefits of the schemes rapidly. The state government is running several schemes for the betterment of workers and their families. Through these schemes, financial help is being provided continuously to improve the social and economic condition of workers. In the last one and a quarter years, about Rs 500 crore is being transferred to the bank accounts of workers through various schemes. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Labor Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, Ramesh Bais (Former Governor), MLA Dharamlal Kaushik, Mrs. Raimuni Bhagat, Purandar Mishra Anuj Sharma, Chairman of Labor Welfare Board Yogesh Dutt Mishra, Secretary cum Labor Commissioner, Mrs. Alarmelmangai D., Secretary of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Girish Kumar Ramteke, Additional Labor Commissioner S.L. Jangde and Mrs. Savita Mishra along with the Chairmen and members of Corporations, Boards, Commissions as well as laborers and public representatives were present in the program.

DBT under the schemes of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. In the amount transferred through the scheme, 04 crore 05 lakh 25 thousand rupees were given to 30,585 workers under the scheme of assistance for free uniforms and book copies for the children of construction workers, 02 crore 11 lakh to 1055 workers under Minimata Mahtari Jatan scheme, 52 lakh 19 thousand 500 to 3480 workers under the Chief Minister’s Construction Laborer Safety Equipment Assistance Scheme, 32 lakhs to 32 workers under the Chief Minister’s Construction Workers Housing Assistance Scheme, 01 crore 10 lakh to the heirs of 102 workers under the Chief Minister’s Construction Workers Death and Disabled Assistance Scheme, 12 lakh 60 thousand 595 to 70 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Noni Babu Medhavi Education Assistance Scheme, 4 crore 92 lakh, 20 thousand to the daughters of 2461 workers under the Chief Minister’s Noni Empowerment Assistance Scheme, 87 lakh 25 thousand to 4237 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Naunihal Scholarship Scheme, Under the Chief Minister’s Labor Tool Assistance Scheme, 36 lakh 19 thousand 780 were given to 1048 workers, under the Chief Minister’s Labor Cyan Assistance Scheme, 35 lakh 40 thousand were given to 177 beneficiaries, under the Chief Minister’s Cycle Assistance Scheme, 62 lakh 48 thousand 782 were given to 1687 workers, under the Chief Minister’s Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme, 39 thousand 500 rupees were given to 05 beneficiaries and under the Chief Minister’s Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme, 50 thousand rupees were given to 01 beneficiary of the Utkrisht Sports Promotion Scheme for the children of construction workers.
