Artificial Intelligence will have far reaching impact on the society: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Artificial Intelligence can have various positive and negative social effects. He said that the way in which science was discussed as a boon or a curse in school life, similar questions were raised about employment in the initial phase of computer and internet revolution. In the present era, various notions are being formed regarding Artificial Intelligence, due to which this ultramodern technology is being seen as both a blessing and a crisis. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed hope that it will have far-reaching positive effects on the society. He congratulated Deendayal Shodh Sansthan for organizing a seminar on this profound subject. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the seminar organized by Deendayal Upadhyay Shodh Sansthan on the topic of ‘Social Effects of Artificial Intelligence’ in Delhi on Saturday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with the advent of AI, there is a perception that it will eliminate many jobs. He said that when computers came, this fear was created. But just as jobs were created at that time, today AI is creating new jobs and changing existing jobs. Especially in the field of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence, this technology is helping businesses to develop new products and services and improve their efficiency. The Chief Minister said that artificial intelligence is a powerful technology, which has very deep social implications. We should consider how we can make it a boon.

Union Minister of State for Information and Technology Shri Jitin Prasad, NITI Aayog member Shri V.K. Saraswat, General Secretary of Deendayal Research Institute Shri Atul Jain, Director General of RIS Shri Sachin Chaturvedi also expressed their views in the session. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and guests were honoured by presenting mementoes on behalf of the institute.
