Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the marriage ceremony is the most important among the 16 ceremonies. Today, in Alirajpur, 1369 newly married couples were given an amount of Rs. 7 crore 52 lakh as dowry under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivaah Yojana. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told all the grooms that we are handing over the beauty of our house to you in the form of our daughters, it is now your responsibility to take care of them. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav attended the mass marriage conference organized in Alirajpur on Thursday and blessed the bride and groom. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the collector of Alirajpur to send the proposal of 220 KV grid, Kakarana Ghat and Kanya Khel Parisar, which will be approved immediately. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed the family members of the newly married couples participating in the mass marriage conference by showering flowers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the natural beauty of Alirajpur is worth seeing. He said that by building a dam on the banks of Narmada Maiyya, the area of ​​irrigated land in Alirajpur area has increased and economic prosperity has come.

Efforts being made for economic development

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that 169 villages will get water for irrigation from the Sondwa Udvahan Project worth about Rs 2000 crore received by Alirajpur district in December 2024. When the thirsty field gets water, the crop will be like gold. He said that wheat is being procured at the rate of Rs 2600 per quintal. The government will buy wheat from all the farmers. He said that Rs 175 per quintal is being given as bonus for wheat. Along with this, a bonus of Rs 5 per liter will also be given on the purchase of milk. The government’s target is to increase the milk production of the state from 9 percent to 20 percent, so that farmers get a new source of income.

District Development Committee will be formed to make development inclusive

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a District Development Committee will be formed soon. Through this, suggestions from eminent citizens and businessmen of the district will be obtained and they will be included in the process of inclusive development of the district.

Skilled citizens of the district should get employment opportunities in diamond refining

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that diamond refining work will be done in Alirajpur instead of Gujarat through Alirajpur District Industry Department. With this, skilled citizens of Alirajpur will be able to get employment in the district itself. He said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state where diamonds are obtained from mines. Efforts are being made to get diamond refining work done in Alirajpur itself. He said that efforts are being made to provide employment opportunities through agriculture based industry.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that under the Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Yojana, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is building concrete houses, providing water and electricity to every village (hamlet). Under the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana, Rs. 1250 per month is being transferred to the accounts of more than 1.25 crore sisters of the state. Farmers are being helped through Kisan Samman Nidhi. New industries are being set up.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav accorded a grand welcome

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was given a grand and warm welcome at the venue by the dance troupes who enthusiastically performed tribal dance to the beats of drums and mandal amid a shower of flowers.

Minister Mr. Nagar Singh Chauhan and MP Mrs. Anita Nagar Singh Chauhan welcomed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by presenting him a bouquet of flowers, a handmade photograph of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, a painting depicting tribal culture, bow and arrow and a jacket.

District Panchayat President Smt. Hajri Bai Kharat, District President Smt. Sunita Inder Singh Chauhan, Shri Santosh Maku Parwal along with 1369 newly married couples along with their family members and a large number of common people were present.
