Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated aircraft flying training in Jashpur, boosted the enthusiasm of NCC cadets

State government will make youth pilots, every possible help will be available

Enthusiasm of trainee cadets – “Our dream is coming true!”

Raipur, March 16, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today met the cadets of 3 CG Air Squadron NCC Raipur at Agadih airstrip in Jashpur district and encouraged them. He listened to the experiences of the cadets and described the aircraft flying training started for the first time in Jashpur as a historic initiative. He said that Jashpur is now not only a center of tourism and natural beauty, but is also becoming a new hub of aviation training. Chief Minister Sai said that the state government is committed to provide the necessary resources and opportunities to the youth for career building in every field. Now the youth can also fulfill their dream of becoming a pilot, for which the government will provide all possible assistance. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai observed the Micro Light Air Squadron aircraft and took its technical information. He directed the officials to take the cadets on a tour of the major tourist places of Jashpur, so that they can get acquainted with the natural beauty and biodiversity of the district. He also informed that cashew, tea leaves, pear and apple are being cultivated on a large scale in Jashpur, which has given a new dimension to the agriculture here.

For the first time, aircraft flight training in Jashpur, 100 cadets will get the opportunity. In Jashpur district, cadets are being trained to fly aircraft in the morning from March 7, 2025. During this training, the aircraft lands safely after flying in the sky, giving practical experience to the cadets. For the first time outside Raipur, such a training program has been organized in Jashpur district, due to which tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among the cadets. Training is being given with twin-seater SW-80 aircraft. The length of Agadih airstrip is 1200 meters and width is 25 meters. Here cadets are being trained with single engine twin-seater Virus SW-80 aircraft, which can fly up to a maximum height of 20,000 feet. However, at present, flights are being operated up to a height of 1,000 feet for training. The Commanding Officer said that cadets who get high grading in “C” certificate of NCC Air Wing are considered directly eligible for Air Force interview, hence this training lays the foundation for their bright future.

Enthusiasm of the cadets – “The dream of becoming an Air Force pilot will come true” Trainee Nitesh Prajapati said that the clean and beautiful environment of Jashpur is very suitable for flight training. He said, “My dream is to become an Air Force pilot, and this training will help me move forward in that direction.” Similarly, Pranshu Chauhan said that the air traffic in Jashpur remains clean, due to which there is no hindrance in flying. The runway is also completely clear, due to which the training is being conducted without any interruption. He said, “Training amidst natural beauty will always be memorable for us.” On this occasion, Vice President of Sarguja Tribal Development Authority Smt. Gomti Sai, MLA Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, District Panchayat President Salik Sai, Sarguja Commissioner Narendra Kumar Dugga, IG Ankit Garg, Collector Rohit Vyas, SSP Shashi Mohan Singh, District Panchayat CEO Abhishek Kumar and other public representatives and officials were present.
