Road Accident on Jhansi-Khajuraho Highway: Family of Three from Gwalior Loses Their Lives
Chhatarpur | A tragic road accident occurred early Friday morning around 5 AM on the Jhansi-Khajuraho National Highway, claiming the lives of three people from Gwalior. The victims included a husband, wife, and their teenage daughter.
The Journey That Took a Tragic Turn
The injured were rushed to the district hospital and later referred to Gwalior for further treatment. The family was on their way to Bageshwar Dham to attend a Holi Milan event when their journey was cut short by the accident near Basari.
What Happened?
The accident took place near Basari in the Bamitha police station area around 5 AM. The Solanki family from Gwalior was traveling in a four-wheeler (MP 07 CD 6161) when the accident happened. The victims who lost their lives have been identified as:
- Amrish Solanki (46 years)
- Geeta Solanki (38 years), wife of Amrish
- Devanshi Solanki (16 years), daughter of Amrish
Injured Family Members
The accident also left three others injured:
- Vikas Solanki (30 years)
- Neha Solanki (10 years)
- Pari Solanki (12 years)
All of them belong to Madhavganj, Gwalior.
What Caused the Accident?
According to Rajneesh Rajput, a relative of the victims, the family was traveling at night to attend the Holi Milan event at Bageshwar Dham. The accident occurred when the driver dozed off, causing the car to hit a divider and overturn.
Police Investigation Underway
Bamitha police station in-charge Ashutosh Shrotriya confirmed that three people lost their lives in the accident. The injured were immediately taken to the district hospital, and further investigations are now being carried out to determine the exact cause of the crash.
