Every possible effort will be made for women empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Raipur: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that every possible effort is being made to make women capable and empowered under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that it is only because of empowered women that the state and the country are not only becoming strong but also prosperous. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that giving rights to women brings positive changes in the society. India is the only country in the world which has been respecting the mother power since time immemorial. In Sanatan culture, power, wealth etc. have been expressed through goddesses. After the next Lok Sabha elections, the power of 33 percent reservation given to women in Parliament will be reflected and the country will be run by women. For women empowerment, reservation in government jobs is being increased from 33 percent to 35 percent in the state. Women have also been given one percent exemption in property registration. As a result, a large number of properties are being registered in the name of women. 44 percent start-ups in the state are being run by women. The state government is also encouraging women entrepreneurship. The number of self-help groups in the state is more than 5 lakh. Sisters are also being given subsidy in bank loans for setting up industries. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the state level program organized in Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium on International Women’s Day after lighting the lamp and inaugurating it. He also distributed state level awards of Women and Child Development Department in the program. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the digital e-news letter “Ajeevika Anubhuti” along with providing appointment letters to one thousand girls in Deendayal Upadhyaya Gramin Kaushal Yojana in the self-help conference organized on International Women’s Day. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav distributed 200 e-cycles to the group members of Sehore district and also flagged off 3 vehicles of the mobile organic market of Ajeevika Mission. Guests were welcomed in the program by presenting Tulsi plant.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is making every possible effort to improve the lives of sisters. An amount of Rs 1552.73 crore has been transferred to the accounts of one crore 27 lakh sisters. In the last one year, from January 2024 to February 2025, an amount of Rs 22 thousand 227.89 crore has been transferred to the accounts of Ladli sisters. We are celebrating Rakshabandhan by sending money to the accounts of Ladli sisters every month. Ladli Behna Yojana will never stop, the state government will not have any shortage of resources. This scheme started from the state for women empowerment is being welcomed across the country. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, a grant amount of Rs 55 crore 95 lakh of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Gas Yojana has been transferred to 29 lakh sisters for cylinder refilling. So far, an amount of Rs 825 crore has been released to the sisters. With the amount released under Ujjwala Gas Connection, women have been freed from the compulsion of collecting fuel every day. These activities are contributing significantly to the ongoing campaign for women empowerment. The state government is committed to fulfilling each of its resolutions in this direction. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi for the special efforts being made for women empowerment along with the poor, youth, farmers under the focus on knowledge. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, our government is doing what it is saying. When we will achieve the goal of developed India @ 2047, Madhya Pradesh’s contribution will be important in this and the state will become number-1 in the country.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, more than 19 thousand sisters have been given away in marriage by the government. The mass marriages taking place under the scheme are giving the message of social harmony, cordiality and unity. This campaign is a pledge of purity, in which more than 115 crores have been spent so far. Sisters are being empowered by providing them assistance through Aahar Anudan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana etc. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than four crore houses are going to be built in the country in urban areas. Under this scheme implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, every eligible person in rural and urban areas will be provided a permanent house.  

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government will take the strictest action against those who misbehave with girls, women and daughters. The culprits will also be given death penalty. No culprit will be spared under any circumstances. Religious Freedom Act is in force in Madhya Pradesh to take strict action against those who forcefully or by luring people to marry or convert their religion. The state government has made arrangements to give seven days extra casual leave to government women employees and 180 days maternity leave to contract employee sisters. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is with the sisters at every step, they should move ahead, the government will provide them every possible help and guidance.

Minister for Women and Child Development Ms Nirmala Bhuria, while extending her greetings on Women’s Day, said that the state government is committed to the safety, education, health and economic development of women. Expressing her gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, she said that the government is continuously working for women empowerment. Nari Sashaktikaran Mission has been started in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Minister Ms Bhuria said that the Madhya Pradesh government has never allowed lack of budget for the upliftment of women. Whenever funds were needed for the welfare of women, the funds were made available on priority. She said that ‘Laadli Behna Yojana’ proved to be an effective scheme for making women economically capable and self-reliant.

Minister Ms. Bhuria said that ‘Hum Honge Kamyaab’ campaign was organized with the joint efforts of Women and Child Development and Police Department. This has created a wave of new awareness about women’s safety, rights and gender equality across the state. The historic support that is being received in the state on women related issues is a witness to the fact that now the state is leading in gender equality. She said that today on the occasion of Women’s Day, we have decided that the social workers who have done excellent work in the field of women and child development, whose departmental awards were not given due to some reason, are being honored from this platform today. Minister Ms. Bhuria congratulated all the social workers being honored and expected that they will continue to work for gender equality and women empowerment.

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel said that daughters are always revered. We get strength, our tradition and our values ​​from the power of motherhood. Mother gives us birth, sister gives us energy, our wife supports us and daughters give us strength. Minister Shri Patel said that women have always been Shakti Swaroopa and they will remain a power. Motherhood power has got the highest place in our cultural heritage. Congratulating everyone on Women’s Day, he said that if women strengthen themselves, then the country will also become strong.

Director General of Police Mr. Kailash Makwana said that 984 public places were surveyed in the ‘Hum Honge Kamyaab’ campaign. The effort was to study how to keep workplaces safe. The Women Security Branch of the Police Department had conducted the Abhimanyu survey in which a questionnaire of 48 thousand men and women from different categories was prepared. It was analyzed by IIM Indore. A security audit has also been done regarding how to keep women safe at workplaces and provide a favorable environment. The state police is committed to the safety of women and Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in providing security. Women desks have been established in all police stations. It has been seen many times that unfortunately, in relationships that break up, women’s maintenance has been seen as an important problem. The Police Department is running a campaign to find out how the police can help in that.

MP Shri V.D. Sharma said that the coming time is of ‘women led government’. India has been at the forefront in promoting women led development and gender equality. Many efforts are being made under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to promote women leadership.

On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the exhibition of products of self-help groups of Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission and inspected the stalls. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also flagged off 3 vehicles of the mobile organic market operated by Livelihood Mission in Bhopal city.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav distributed state level awards of Women and Child Development Department on International Women’s Day. In this, all the winners were given a symbol and a certificate along with an honor fund of Rs one lakh each. He gave the Rashtramata Padmavati Award to Mrs. Madhuri Moyade of Indore for saving a 12-year-old girl from exploitation by an elderly neighbor , Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Social Service Award for the year 2023 to Komal Kinnar of Sheopur for educating girls and eliminating social evils from her ashram for the last 15 years, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Social Service Award for the year 2024 to Mrs. Bharti Agarwal of Betul for forming 158 self-help groups in urban areas and 868 in rural areas and manufacturing and distribution of sanitary pads and conducting skill enhancement training programs, Rani Anvati Bai Veerta Award to Mrs. Anamika Jain, founder and social worker of Anamika Foundation of Mandsaur district.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured Shri Mahendra Pathak of Indore with Shri Vishnu Kumar Mahila Evam Bal Kalyan Samaj Seva Samman Award. Shri Pathak has been working as the coordinator of anti-child marriage flying squad for 20 years and has prevented more than 1200 child marriages. His name is also recorded in the Golden Book of World Records for this. As a reward, he was also honoured with an honor fund of one lakh rupees, a symbol and a certificate. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also honoured Anganwadi worker Smt. Archana Yadav of Chhatarpur district, solo cyclist Ms. Asha Malviya of Rajgarh district and Smt. Chetna Rathore of One Stop Center of Dhar district for doing remarkable work.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated organic Haat markets in six major cities of the state, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Dhar with a single click. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav digitally launched the Financial Literacy Campaign, 05 training batches specially for young girls under Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDUGKY), and skill training for promotion of traditional art and craft in Balaghat, Dindori and Alirajpur districts through RSETI.

MP Mr. Alok Sharma, MLA Mr. Rameshwar Sharma and Mr. Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Mrs. Rashmi Arun Shami, Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development, Commissioner Women and Child Development Mrs. Sufia Farooq Wali were also present in the program.
