Chhattisgarh Budget 2025: Petrol rates reduced by one rupee, DA of employees increased—farmers and industries will also benefit

Raipur, March 3, 2025- The Chhattisgarh government has taken many important decisions in the budget to provide relief to the public. The price of petrol has been reduced by ₹ 1 per liter, which will benefit the common people, farmers and industries. Earlier, the government had reduced VAT on bulk diesel purchases to 17%, which has reduced the cost of transportation and agricultural work. At the same time, the dearness allowance (DA) of the state government employees has been increased by 3%, which will be applicable from March. With petrol and diesel becoming cheaper, the cost of tractors, pump sets and other agricultural equipment will decrease, which will increase the profits of farmers. Apart from this, transportation and production costs for rice mills, sugarcane factories and other agriculture-based industries will be reduced, which can make essential commodities cheaper. The increase in dearness allowance will increase the income of government employees, which will increase their purchasing power and demand in the market. This decision of the government has brought relief to the general public, farmers and traders and will give new impetus to the economy of the state.
