Chhattisgarh budget: Paved roads to every village, mobile towers, pace of development will increase in cities

Raipur 3 March 2025 – Chhattisgarh’s budget is a big step towards making the state digital, safe and developed. The government has done something new in every field, from children’s education, development of villages, new facilities and security in cities. In the coming years, Chhattisgarh will move further ahead and will be included in the most advanced states of the country!

1. New pension fund for government employees For the first time, the Chhattisgarh government has created a “Pension Fund”, so that the pension of all government employees is safe. Also, for the first time in the country, “Chhattisgarh Growth and Stability Fund” is being created, which will strengthen the economic condition of the state.

2. Now mobile towers and public buses in every village!

Many people living in villages do not get phone network. The government has now come up with the “Mukhyamantri Mobile Tower Yojana”, which will provide mobile network even in villages located in forests and mountains. With this, children will be able to study online and people will be able to talk to their relatives easily.

Apart from this, public buses do not run in some villages because there are less people living there. Now the government is going to run buses in such places also under the “Mukhyamantri Parivahan Yojana”, so that people can easily travel from village to block and district headquarters.

3. Makeover of cities: New hospitals, colleges and metro!

The government is bringing many big projects to make the cities of Chhattisgarh more beautiful and modern:

– “Medicity” in Nava Raipur, a city where there will be the best hospitals.

– “Education City” Here big colleges and universities will be built for all types of studies.

– National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) A special college will be opened for children who want to learn fashion designing.

– Raipur-Durg Metro- Now a survey of metro train will be done in big cities, so that metro service can be started in future.

4. Security and Tourism: New plans

– On the lines of NSG, “Special Operation Group” (SOG) will be a special police team that will deal with dangerous criminals.

– -Now “State Industrial Security Force (SISF)” will be formed in the state, which will work on the lines of CISF. This will strengthen the security of industries and important institutions in the state.

– It has been the first “Iconic Tourism Destination” of Chhattisgarh, where you will enjoy the forest, water and wildlife! The government is going to build a new tourist destination by spending Rs 200 crore.

5. Government took a big decision for journalists

– Budget for exposure visit of journalists

– Money for renovation of offices of Journalist Association

– Journalist Samman Nidhi has been doubled!

6. Paved roads will shine till every village!

Now the roads of villages will be stronger and better. For this –

– ₹845 crores for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana

– Roads in tribal areas ₹500 crores

– Chief Minister Rural Road Scheme – ₹119 crores

– Chief Minister Ring Road Scheme will be started, provision of 100 crores for this

– Provision of 2000 crores for construction of new roads.

7. Both cities and villages will be smart!

– Development of municipalities ₹750 crore (every city will be made more beautiful)

– Chief Minister Nagarotthan Yojana will be started for planned development in municipal corporations, provision of 500 crores

– ₹44 crore for new fire stations (security system will be strengthened)

– Provision of 100 crores for Chief Minister Griha Pravesh Samman Yojana

8. World of tourism and adventure in Bastar-Sarguja

If you are fond of adventure or want to stay close to nature away from home, then the government has implemented homestay policy for you in Bastar and Sarguja. Now the tourists coming here will be able to experience the local culture and food by staying in the villages. Apart from this, adventure tourism and tourism circuit will be developed in Jashpur, which will give more fun to the people coming there.

9. Nalanda Library and Science Park: New gift for students

17 more “Nalanda Libraries” will be opened to make the studies of students more interesting and to provide them a conducive environment for preparing for competitive exams. Not only this, mobile science labs will be started in Bastar and Surguja for children interested in science and science parks will be established in Surguja, Bastar, Balrampur, Jashpur and Raigarh. Now children will be encouraged to come out of books and experiment with science.

There will be an opportunity to learn through this.

A confluence of agriculture and digital technology

Now farmers will also get digital facilities! Special funds have been given for digitization of land records and digital crop survey. With this, farmers will be able to get information related to their land immediately on mobile or computer.

Major improvement in health facilities

ART facility will be started in Raipur Medical College Hospital for the poor and childless couples of the state. Along with this, budget has also been kept for MRI and CT scan machines in government hospitals, so that patients can get good medical facilities. Sickle cell screening centers will be established in all blocks. Apart from this, centers of physiotherapy and naturopathy will be established in Jashpur and Manendragarh

Property registration will be done without paper!

Now there will be no need to visit offices to buy or sell land or house! The government has planned to implement the system of faceless and paperless registration. This will save both time and money of the people.

Big step in medical and food safety

A national level “Integrated Food and Drug Laboratory” will be built in Raipur, in which the quality of medicines and food items will be checked. A budget of Rs 45 crore has been kept for this project. This is a big step of the government to take action against fake medicines and adulterators.

Petrol rate reduced by one rupee, DA of employees increased

The Chhattisgarh government has taken many important decisions in the budget to provide relief to the public. The price of petrol has been reduced by ₹ 1 per liter, which will benefit the common people, farmers and industries. Earlier, the government had reduced VAT on bulk diesel purchase to 17%, which has reduced the cost of transportation and agricultural work. At the same time, the dearness allowance (DA) of the state government employees has been increased by 3%, which will be applicable from March.

New scheme to promote digital payment

For the first time, the Chhattisgarh government is making a provision of special budget to promote digital payment (UPI) in all gram panchayats. With this, people will be able to easily do digital transactions even in villages and the need for cash transactions will be reduced.

For the first time, ‘Iconic Destination’ and ‘Wellness-Wildlife-Water Tourism’ will be developed

For the first time in Chhattisgarh, a budget of ₹ 200 crore has been kept for ‘Iconic Destination’ and ‘Wellness-Wildlife-Water Tourism’. This will promote tourism in the state and it will become a major center of attraction.

Relief to businessmen and common man

In the budget, 12 percent cess of stamp duty on transfer of immovable property has been abolished. This will benefit the general public. At the same time, the value limit for generating e-way bill has been increased from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 1 lakh. Giving relief to small businessmen, the government has decided to waive the amount of VAT due for several years.
