Nava Raipur, Date 19 February 2025: The three-tier Panchayat General Election 2025 is being conducted in three phases. The dates for the urban body and three-tier Panchayat general elections were announced by the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission on January 20. State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh said that all preparations for the election have been ensured ahead of time. He said that as per the program released by the State Election Commission for the election, the process of nomination was started with the publication of the notification of election for the three-tier Panchayat on January 27 and the last date for receiving nomination papers was fixed for Monday, February 03, 2025 at 3 pm. Withdrawal of candidature was taken till 3 pm on Thursday, 06 February 2025 and the date of 06 February was fixed for preparing, publishing the list of candidates contesting the election and allotment of election symbols. State Election Commission officials said that counting of votes will be done at polling stations on the day of polling. Tabulation and declaration of election results in the cases of Panch, Sarpanch and Janpad Panchayat has been done on 19 January for the first phase at the block level. For the second phase, it will be done on 22 February and for the third phase on 25 February from 9 am. Similarly, in the case of District Panchayat member, it will be done at the district headquarters on 20 February for the first phase, 23 February for the second phase and 25 February for the third phase.

State Election Commission officials said that in the second phase, voting will be held in 43 development blocks of the state on 20 February. The blocks where polling is to be held in the second phase include Bilha block of Bilaspur district, Pendra block of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, Lormi block of Mungeli district, Navagarh block of Janjgir-Champa district, Malkharoda block of Sakti district, Podi-Uporada block of Korba district, Kharsia and Dharamjaigarh blocks of Raigarh district, Bilaigarh block of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, Ramanujnagar and Premnagar blocks of Surajpur district, Balrampur block of Balrampur district, Sitapur and Mainpat blocks of Surguja district, Manendragarh block of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district, Jashpur and Manora, Duldula and Kunkuri blocks of Jashpur district. Similarly, development blocks Dharsiwa and Tildanevara of Raipur district, Kasdol development block of Balodabazar district, Chhura development block of Gariaband district, Pithora and Bagbahara development block of Mahasamund district, Kurud development block of Dhamtari district, Patan development block of Durg district, Balod development block of Balod district, Chhuriya development block of Rajnandgaon district, Khairagarh development block of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district, Mohla development block of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki district, Bodla and Pandaria development blocks of Kabirdham district, Farasgaon and Makdi development blocks of Kondagaon district, Bastar and Lohandiguda development blocks of Bastar district, Bhanupratappur and Durgukondal development blocks of North Bastar Kanker district, Katekalyan of South Bastar Dantewada district and Chhindgarh of Sukma district and Bhopalpatnam and Usur development blocks of Bijapur district are included.
