Atal Ji’s simplicity, humility and his life values teach us how to live even today – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that today with the unveiling of the statue of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a new history has been written in Morena. Late Vajpayee was an expert in politics. He always lived for the truth. He was a big-hearted person who considered the whole of India as his family. Late Vajpayee was a timeless great man who followed democratic traditions. His spontaneity, simplicity, humility and his life values teach us how to live even today. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the unveiling ceremony of Atal ji’s statue in Morena on Monday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we have not seen Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, but have seen Atal Ji closely. I salute him a hundred times. The country got a hero of democracy in the form of Atal Ji. Whether a leader is in the ruling party or in the opposition, he speaks the same language, we have seen this in the personality of Atal Ji. He said that Atal Ji had increased the pride of the country in the world by conducting nuclear tests in Pokhran. Atal Ji was a true son of Mother India. He did an unprecedented work of strengthening democracy and parliamentary traditions by sitting in the opposition for 50 years. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Atal ji had said in his poem that “whether in defeat or in victory, I am not afraid at all, whatever I got on the path of struggle, this is right and that is also right.” Our country will never forget the contribution of late Vajpayee. Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) and Ken-Betwa (KB) river linking national project is the result of his visionary thinking. His thinking has been implemented by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. For this, we congratulate Prime Minister Shri Modi. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, we have started a new campaign of water storage in Madhya Pradesh with the river linking project worth Rs 70 thousand crore.
On the demand of local public representatives, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced a development fund of Rs. 20 crore for necessary development works in all the villages of 13 Gram Panchayats bordering Morena Municipal Corporation and Rs. 10 crore for electricity pole shifting work in Morena city. He said that along with a boat club in Morena city, roads will also be built wherever necessary.
Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s arrival in Morena will add to the development of this place. Late Vajpayee’s statue will inspire the local youth engaged in public service. Atal ji 
had made a place in the hearts of crores of people of the country through his works. He always used to say that our destination should not be to get power but to build a powerful, prosperous, capable and developed India. An India in which there is harmony, this was his goal. Leaders of every party should understand and read Atal ji’s thoughts. Whoever takes inspiration from Atal ji will go very far in life. Shri Tomar said that he himself considers Atal ji as his ideal in politics.
Khajuraho MP Shri V.D. Sharma said that the statue of Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a son of Chambal soil, has been unveiled today. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, our Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is taking the state forward in the direction of development by following the path shown by Atal ji. Atal ji was the only leader in the country who was accepted in every party. Atal ji had dreamt of connecting every village with roads and rivers. Today Atal ji’s dream seems to be coming true. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has taken many notable decisions related to water conservation along with the mission of connecting rivers with Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Revenue Minister and Minister in-charge of Morena district, Mr. Karan Singh Verma said that late Vajpayee was a visionary. Realising his dreams, our government has worked to connect every village with roads and dry rivers with perennial rivers.
Agriculture Minister Shri Andal Singh Kansana said that late Shri Vajpayee did many big works to take the country forward. Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is his contribution. Today our Prime Minister Shri Modi is taking forward the dreams and works of Atal ji.
On this occasion, MP Shri Shivmangal Singh Tomar, Shri Vivek, MLAs of Morena district, public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
