Bageshwar Dham Trust to Set Up Advanced Cancer Hospital in Bundelkhand, PM Modi to Inaugurate the Project
Cancer Hospital to be Built in Bageshwar Dham, PM Modi to Lay Foundation on February 23
A state-of-the-art cancer hospital is set to be built in Garha village, Chhatarpur, spanning 25 acres with an estimated cost of ₹200 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bageshwar Dham on February 23 to lay the foundation stone for the hospital.
Free Cancer Treatment for Patients
According to the temple’s head priest, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the hospital will provide completely free treatment for cancer patients, including accommodation, food, and medicines. The entire cost will be covered by the Bageshwar Dham Trust.
Funded by Devotee Donations
The hospital will be funded through donations and offerings received during religious discourses at Bageshwar Dham. A digital blueprint for the hospital has already been created, revealing that the facility will be named Balaji Sarkar Cancer Institute, where medical experts from India and abroad will offer their services. A team of doctors, including Dr. Angel from Germany, who has been associated with the dham for the past year, will also provide their expertise at the hospital. The project will be developed in four phases, with future plans to collaborate with major healthcare groups like Medanta and Birla hospitals. The dham trust is even considering expanding the project into a medical college.
President Droupadi Murmu to Visit on February 26
On February 24, Bageshwar Dham will host a mass wedding ceremony, where 251 underprivileged girls, including 108 from tribal families, will be married. To bless the newlyweds, President Droupadi Murmu will visit the dham on February 26. Over 1,000 applications from nine states were received for the mass wedding. A 60-member team from Bageshwar Dham conducted door-to-door surveys to select the brides based on set criteria. Among the 251 selected brides, four are specially-abled, 54 are orphans, and 94 have lost their fathers.
The Great Khali to Wrestle at Bageshwar Dham on February 24
Adding to the list of grand events, renowned wrestler The Great Khali will be seen in action at Bageshwar Dham on February 24. The wrestling match will be organized on the lines of Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) to inspire young wrestling enthusiasts and promote the sport.
