Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the National Service Scheme is a living unit for personality development and teaching patriotism. The feeling of service arises from its name itself. This organization helps in the development of the country by enhancing the qualities of the students and imbuing them with the basic spirit of community development. It is highly commendable that today our students are studying NSS as a subject. Youth are the future of the country and the development of the spirit of service in them will lead to a faster development of the country. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the felicitation ceremony of the students of National Service Scheme (NSS) who brought glory to Madhya Pradesh in the Republic Day Parade-2025 New Delhi at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence) on Thursday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while appreciating the dedication and service spirit of NSS, honored the students and their coordinators who participated in the parade by giving them medals and also gave his blessings. These NSS students have brought laurels to Madhya Pradesh by performing excellently in the Republic Day Parade held on 26 January 2025 at Kartavyapath, New Delhi.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Rashtriya Seva Yojana is an important platform to develop the spirit of social service, patriotism, discipline and companionship among the youth. The students of Madhya Pradesh have made the entire state proud by performing brilliantly in this parade. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav motivated the students to give every possible support in social service in future and to actively participate in activities related to national awareness. He said that our government is constantly making efforts for the all-round development of the youth. By giving the right direction to the youth energy, we are sharpening the talents of all the youth and taking their cooperation in the development of the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that youth are the axis of development of the country and the state. Everyone should move forward after making their career. For the development of the country, youth should also come into politics. Only political development will give strength to the social development of the country. Youth should not just be after employment. They should not be job seekers, but should become job providers. Our nation is known for sharing goodness in the world with the global spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Sharing goodness is our culture, our lifestyle. Therefore, along with the development of other qualities of their life, youth should also adopt the spirit of service and move ahead in life. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav praised the participation of NSS in cleanliness, purity, blood donation, public awareness programs and said that this organization inspires us to move ahead on the path of life with a sense of co-existence.
More than 1.60 lakh students are associated with NSS
Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, Mr. Anupam Rajan said that NSS is a national organization working with the basic spirit of social service through education and education through social service. More than one lakh 60 thousand students from all the colleges of the state are associated with this organization. Efforts are on to prepare NSS units even in those colleges where NSS is not there. He congratulated all the volunteers of the NSS team of Madhya Pradesh who participated in the National Republic Day Parade-2025 and said that all the students should become responsible citizens by joining the national service.
At the beginning of the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed by putting an NSS badge on him and felicitated by giving a memento. Former minister and MLA Shri Omprakash Sakhlecha, senior officials of the Higher Education Department, National Service Scheme coordinator and NSS volunteers from various colleges of Bhopal were also present in the program. Commissioner of Higher Education Shri Nishant Warvade expressed his gratitude.
Madhya Pradesh NSS team showed discipline and service spirit
NSS students selected from Madhya Pradesh presented a great example of discipline and dedication in the National Republic Day Parade. The team of Madhya Pradesh was successful in registering its impressive presence among the NSS students selected from all over the country. The honored students shared their experiences while talking to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and expressed happiness on being a part of this historic moment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav took a group photo with the NSS students and wished them a bright future.
