Swami Atmanand School’s polling booth arrangements reviewed
Raipur 4 February 2025: State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh during his one-day stay in Bastar district observed the live demonstration of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) used in the voting system by the district administration to the voters near Sanjay Bazaar in Jagdalpur city. During this, he discussed with the voters about the use of the machine and voting for the mayor and councilor candidates. Along with this, he took information about the functioning of the machine from the officials engaged in the demonstration work and directed to do maximum publicity to make the voters aware.
State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh inspected the polling booth at Swami Atmanand School near Sanjay Bazar. He took stock of the security, basic facilities and other arrangements at the polling booth. Singh appreciated the wall writing at the polling booth and also took cognizance of the arrangements at Sangwari Booth and women’s polling booth. During this inspection, Divisional Commissioner Doman Singh, IG Sundararaj P, Secretary of State Election Commission Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Nodal Officer of Police O P Pal, Collector and District Election Officer Haris S, Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha and other concerned officers were also present.
