Traffic violators will get e-challan through ITMS within 5 minutes of violating the traffic rules
Facility of online payment within 10 minutes. 100 challans will be made every day!
Traffic Raipur, dated 02 February 2025: Recently, SSP Lal Umed Singh inspected the ITMS established and operated by Smart City Limited in the capital Raipur and directed to take immediate e-challan action against the violating drivers through CCTV cameras for prevention of crimes and action against the drivers violating traffic rules. It is known that at present it used to take 08 to 10 days to issue e-challan, due to which most of the violators were objecting, in view of which ITMS will update the system and issue e-challan within 05 minutes, which will send a PDF copy of the e-challan to the mobile phone of the violating driver through tax message, which the violating driver can make online payment within 10 minutes. Initially, this facility will be given to only 100 violating drivers, gradually their number will be increased.
Let us tell you that Smart City Limited Raipur has installed CCTV cameras in the city under Integrated Traffic Management System, through which more than 1000 e-challans are being issued against the violator drivers violating traffic rules. At present, the e-challan being issued by ITMS takes about 8-10 days to be generated, due to which most of the violator drivers register their objection and demand the facility of paying the challan immediately. As per the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Raipur, the e-challan will be generated within 05 minutes by updating the system by ITMS and the said violator drivers will get the facility to pay the e-challan within 10 minutes. At present, only 100 violator drivers will get the benefit of this facility as a trial. After that all the violators will get this facility.
