Chhattisgarh government is giving one-time 50 percent discount on life time road tax

Raipur 16 January 2024: I got the opportunity to be an MLA twice in undivided Madhya Pradesh, during this time I did 8 years of MLAship on a motorcycle. Meeting people, listening to their problems, visiting my assembly constituency, everything was done on a motorcycle. A lot has changed since then. The entire economy including the automobile industry is getting the benefit of increasing income of farmers in Chhattisgarh. Its effect is visible in every sector. The auto sector is also growing rapidly in the state. Today the number of means of transport has increased a lot. Therefore, for safe traffic, it is necessary to follow traffic rules while driving on the road. We all should know the traffic rules. Chief Minister  Vishnu Dev Sai said this while inaugurating the RADA Auto Expo 2025 organized at the Science College Ground in the capital Raipur today. Praising the organization of Auto Expo 2025, Chief Minister  Sai said that last year more than 10 thousand vehicles were sold in the Auto Expo. This year also, the state government has decided to give a one-time discount of 50 percent on the lifetime road tax of vehicles. After this decision, I think the sale of vehicles in the Auto Expo will reach 20 thousand. The Chief Minister congratulated the organizers of the expo and said that it is a very good thing that in the organization of Auto Expo, vehicles of different categories of every kind of need can be purchased at one place.

The Chief Minister said that the farmers in the state are getting the highest price for paddy. Its effect is visible in every sector. The auto sector is also growing rapidly in the state. He said that last year 24 lakh 72 thousand farmers had sold 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. This year this figure will also cross the record. This year about 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is likely to be procured from more than 27 lakh registered farmers. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that there was a time when Chhattisgarh was considered an economically backward state. Today, in its 25-year journey, Chhattisgarh is standing on its own feet. The Chhattisgarh government is purchasing paddy from farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal. Prosperity in the farmer’s house leads to progress for everyone. He said that on the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, a network of roads is being laid in Chhattisgarh. Roads are being constructed very fast in Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, accidents are also increasing, it is important for all of us to stop this. We must follow all the rules and adopt safety measures while driving on the road.

 

MP Brijmohan Agarwal said that automobiles are the most important means of connectivity. The auto sector in Chhattisgarh is growing very fast due to direct money coming into the accounts of farmers in Chhattisgarh. A large number of middle-class families will get the benefit of lifetime exemption in 50 percent road tax under the leadership of Chief Minister  Vishnu Dev Sai. Along with the sale of vehicles, safety of life is also very important. We can implement road safety only by making people aware. The Chief Minister launched Honda SP 125 and AudiQ 7 vehicles at the Auto Expo and also felicitated people doing remarkable work in the field of road safety. On this occasion, Chief Minister  Sai released the road safety poster at the Auto Expo. On this occasion, an amount of Rs 5 lakh was given by Raipur Automobile Dealer Association under CSR for road safety. The Chief Minister also handed over the keys of the vehicle to the first customer of the Auto Expo. On this occasion, MLA Shri Rajesh Munat, MLA  Motilal Sahu, former MLA Rajkamal Singhania, Transport Secretary S. Prakash, Additional Transport Commissioner  D. Ravishankar, RADA President Shri Ravindra Bhasin, Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce President Shri Amar Parwani,  Manish Raj Singhania along with RADA members and common people were present.
