MP News: AQI Display Boards to Be Installed in Madhya Pradesh Cities for Real-Time Air Quality Updates
MP News: Madhya Pradesh, air quality index (AQI) information will be displayed on boards at key locations throughout the cities. This initiative will benefit not only the residents of the state but also visitors from other states who come to explore. Currently, there are 43 stations in the state that provide AQI data.Real-time monitoring stations will be set up in cities that are particularly sensitive to pollution. This will help both locals and tourists stay informed about air quality. Based on this data, the Central Pollution Control Board will be able to monitor the situation and issue directives to the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board for pollution control measures.The monitoring will include levels of particulate matter (PM) 10, which are larger particles in the air, as well as PM 2.5, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and ammonia.Following a recent spike in pollution levels in Delhi, the government has taken the issue seriously. The Supreme Court has also stepped in to address the rising air pollution. Both the central and state governments are implementing various measures to combat pollution. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain held a meeting with pollution control board officials and law enforcement to discuss strict actions against those burning crop residue.
