A pickup truck carrying laborers overturned in Madhya Pradesh, killing three and injuring 13.
Ujjain: A tragic road accident occurred on Mahidpur Road on Tuesday morning, resulting in the deaths of three laborers and leaving 13 others injured. The workers were traveling in a pickup truck from Delchi to the Mahidpur Road railway station when the vehicle overturned, causing the accident. All the injured individuals were taken to Ujjain District Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the accident happened around 9:30 AM on the Delchi-Banjari route. There were more than 35 laborers in the pickup truck, and the accident was attributed to overloading. The Mahidpur Road police confirmed that the victims included Kanchanbai, wife of Ramlal, 15-year-old Balram, and Jashoda, wife of Govardhan, who all died at the scene. The 13 injured laborers have been admitted to Ujjain District Hospital for medical care. Local villagers rushed to help when they saw the accident. They helped pull the injured from the vehicle and notified the police. Due to delays in the arrival of ambulances, some of the injured were transported to Ujjain in other vehicles. Doctors at the district hospital reported that the laborers sustained serious injuries, and all are currently receiving treatment.
