Violent Assault on Petrol Pump Staff in Dehradun

In Dehradun, the audacity of troublemakers is on the rise. In Mussoorie, a group of young men who went to fill up their cars with petrol ended up assaulting the petrol pump staff simply because the employees asked them to stop playing loud music late at night. The police have arrested two of the young men involved. On December 29, Kunal Sethi, a resident of Mussoorie, filed a complaint with the police. He reported that around 3:30 AM, a group of young men arrived at the petrol pump in three cars to refuel. After filling up their tanks and making the payment, some of the young men parked their cars nearby and started blasting music. When Suraj Nautiyal, one of the petrol pump employees, asked them to turn it down, the young men began to verbally abuse him and the other staff.

As the situation escalated, the young men started physically attacking the employees. When other staff members tried to intervene, the troublemakers turned on them as well and fled the scene. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the unidentified individuals and began their investigation. Using CCTV footage from the petrol pump and its surroundings, the police were able to track down and arrest two main suspects, identified as Arpan Thapa (18) from Nehru Gram and Aditya Rawat, also known as Gopu (22), from 6 Number Pulia.
