Uttarakhand: Cold Snap, Rain, and Snow Alerts Issued

UTTRAKHAND : Today, the weather in Uttarakhand has taken another turn. Since Monday morning, the atmosphere has changed significantly, and there’s a noticeable chill across the state. Meteorologists have issued a rain alert for several districts, and there are also chances of snowfall in the higher regions. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released warnings for rain and snow in these areas. According to the forecast from Vikram Singh, the director of the weather department, light rain and snowfall are expected today in the hilly areas of Dehradun, as well as in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Almora, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar districts. This could lead to a significant drop in temperatures.

Temperature Overview Looking at the temperature data from yesterday, Dehradun recorded a maximum temperature of 24.5°C, which is 4 degrees higher than normal. The minimum temperature also saw an increase of 2 degrees, settling at 7.2°C. Notably, this minimum temperature is the highest recorded in recent years.
