New Parking Lots in Dehradun to Ease Traffic

Dehradun : Today, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several development projects in Dehradun, including automated parking facilities. During the event, he mentioned that these initiatives will set new standards for development in the capital and will be significant milestones for the city. The Chief Minister announced the construction of two automated parking lots and one underground parking facility at a cost of 11 crores This project aims to ease traffic congestion in crowded areas of Dehradun. Additionally, he launched a letter management desk at the District Magistrate’s office to ensure better handling of incoming correspondence.

CM Dhami also highlighted that the government is working on various projects for the state’s development, including the establishment of science centers in 13 districts He noted that smart schools are being set up as part of the smart city initiatives in Dehradun. Among the achievements he mentioned was the construction of a smart library at Lansdowne Chowk. The goal is to develop Dehradun into an ideal city that is both green and clean. In his commitment to making Dehradun free from air pollution, CM Dhami stated that the city is dedicated to this cause. As part of these efforts, four electric vehicle charging stations have been inaugurated, which will support the city’s transition to cleaner transportation. He also pointed out that Dehradun is the first state in the country to introduce the Green Economic Performance (GEP) initiative, similar to the GDP model.
