On the initiative of Prime Minister Modi, the state received the gifts of river linking projects: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav

Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that it was on the initiative of Prime Minister  Narendra Modi that the MoA for Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking campaign was signed and under his leadership, the Ken-Betwa link project is being launched on 25 December. Madhya Pradesh will benefit from both the projects. Prime Minister  Modi is coming to Khajuraho on 25 December. The Chief Minister has appealed that maximum citizens of the areas benefiting from the projects should reach Khajuraho and greet and thank Prime Minister  Modi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the progress of Jankalyan camps being run in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior-Chambal divisions at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence).

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that these projects could be implemented only due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi. This will ensure availability of sufficient drinking water along with expansion of irrigation facilities in Malwa and Bundelkhand region. The Chief Minister directed that painting and debate competitions should be organized in schools on the use of water. People should be made aware about water conservation by connecting all the gram panchayats of the state with the Bhoomi Pujan program of Ken-Betwa Link Project by Prime Minister  Modi. The MLAs of the Legislative Assemblies benefiting from these projects should inform the local citizens about the benefits of implementation of the projects and inspire them to use water judiciously.

Also make a proposal to connect the rivers of the state Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that both the projects are inter-state. There is a need to make proposals to connect the rivers of the state on the basis of utility. Action plans should be made at the district level to avail the benefits of both the projects.

Public welfare works should not remain pending in Chief Minister Jankalyan Abhiyan Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a public welfare campaign is being conducted in the state to take the benefits of public welfare schemes to every household. Public representatives and officers should ensure that public welfare works should not remain pending at any level. Teams formed in the campaign should conduct door-to-door survey and obtain applications. Public representatives should also actively participate in all camps. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to take the survey of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on priority. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that by holding a meeting at the district level, information about the public welfare works and development activities done so far should be made available to the public representatives. He directed that the issues which are facing difficulty in resolving at the district level should be presented at the state level without delay.

More than 12 thousand camps will be organized in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal divisions It was informed in the meeting that more than 12 thousand camps are being organized under the Chief Minister Jan Kalyan Abhiyan in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal divisions. More than 75 percent of the proposed camps have been organized so far in Shajapur, Guna, Mandsaur, Ujjain and Panna districts. So far 72 thousand 600 applications have been received in the camps organized in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal divisions under the campaign, out of which 41 thousand 381 have been approved. Maximum applications have been received in Ujjain, Chhatarpur, Ashok Nagar, Gwalior, Sagar, Ratlam and Guna districts. It was informed in the meeting that out of the maximum 20 thousand 134 applications received under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, 15 thousand 138 (75.2) percent were approved. Similarly, 51 percent of the applications related to registration of construction workers and 64 percent of the applications related to the supply of copies of current Khasra / Khatauni have been approved.

Suggestions made in the meeting Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Mr. Andal Singh Kansana, Food Supply Minister Mr. Govind Singh Rajput, Social Justice Minister Mr. Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Mr. Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Higher Education Minister Mr. Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of State for Culture Mr. Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Mr. Lakhan Patel, former Minister Mr. Gopal Bhargava, Mr. Jayant Malaiya, Mr. Omprakash Sakhlecha and MLAs from the existing assemblies in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal divisions were present in the meeting. Ministers and MLAs present in the meeting also presented suggestions. The concerned Divisional Commissioner, District Collector and other officers attended the meeting virtually.
