Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Takes Notice of Incident in Berinag, Pithoragarh; Orders Investigation
Pithoragarh: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has acknowledged an incident involving a family in Berinag, Pithoragarh. He has directed Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. The Chief Minister expressed strong displeasure regarding the incident and instructed officials to ensure that such occurrences do not happen again in the future.Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar stated that he has sought explanations from the relevant officials about the entire situation. He assured that strict action would be taken against those found responsible during the investigation.It is important to note that a young man from Pithoragarh had committed suicide in Haldichaur, and the family could not afford the costs to transport his body back home. Ambulance drivers reportedly demanded between 10,000 to 12,000 rupees for the service.In this situation, the family called a local Bolero driver and transported the body by tying it to the roof of the vehicle to bring it back to Pithoragarh. Following the Chief Minister’s directives, officials have indicated that they are making every effort to prevent such unfortunate incidents from happening again in the state.
