Bhopal: PM Shri Air Ambulance Service is proving to be a boon in providing timely and appropriate medical care to citizens in emergency situations. This is saving precious lives. Mr. Vimal Kumar Jain (age-70 years), a resident of Kareli in Narsinghpur district, suffering from heart disease, was airlifted to Hyderabad for better treatment by PM Shri Air Ambulance Service.
Considering the condition of heart patient Jain, District Hospital Narsinghpur referred him to KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad. Jain was taken to Jabalpur Airport by 108 ambulance from District Hospital Narsinghpur. From Jabalpur, he was sent to KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad by PM Shri Air Ambulance Service. This service was provided free of cost to Jain, a beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
Through PM Shri Air Ambulance Service, in case of medical emergency anywhere in the state or requirement of identified special type of medical facility or medical experts, the service is provided by reaching remote areas of the state in difficult geographical conditions, stabilizing the patients through advanced emergency medical treatment and airlifting them to higher medical centers. Heli ambulance and fixed wing convertible flying ambulance are being operated under PM Shri Air Ambulance Service. A team of highly trained medical and paramedical staff is always deployed in PM Air Ambulance.
PM Shri Air Ambulance Service provides free transportation to victims of road and industrial accidents or natural disasters to government or private hospitals within and outside the state. For the treatment of Ayushman card holders, there is a provision of free transportation to all government and Ayushman affiliated hospitals within and outside the state. For the treatment of other beneficiaries who are not Ayushman card holders, free transportation is provided to government hospitals within the state, while paid transportation service is available at contracted rates to any hospital outside the state.
